I just wanna say I love your work girl! Now for the game…I need more story. She couldn’t have died or they couldn’t have died. No way that’s ending like that. What happened at that ceremony? Omg…..I crying pearls 😭😭😭😭😭 But wait…in order to restore the flame he had to kill her? But then if he loved her enough to not kill her despite her devoting herself to him…his promise was to keep her alive? Maybe that newborn flame was her? Maybe he transformed her into that newborn flame, but in order to keep the flame bright he had to use his own soul to keep it ignited over the years. Eventually they both perished and that’s why there was total darkness. But wasn’t it said that if the Lemurian people were put into total darkness they’d become hideous beasts? How’d they stay the same then? Okay so my conclusion is that in that ceremony he lied to the deep sea saying he would kill her as his sacrifice. More than likely the deep sea asked him why he wouldn’t kill her and he probably answered with the fact that he loves her and wishes for her freedom instead because he couldn’t raise his hand and kill the woman he loves. So more than likely he chose love over death. Thus the deep sea got angry and destroyed the temple where they held the ceremony. Only he lived and emerged from the rubble cuz she was human and died, but the flame that he held was her because she had already devoted herself to him. Thus he used her little flame to restore light to Lemuria, but in order for the flame to burn bright he had to use his own soul to ignite it as well. Thus eventually doing that it killed the both of them and the kingdom went into darkness. If that is true I’m going to cry, how could you upset me like this…😭😭 I was hoping for a happy ending, not sad ending.
Wow your theory is really detailed! Anything is possible since we don't have any clear storyline right now. I'm not sure about the flames and how they relate back to her but I'm positive that yes, she was meant to be a sacrifice during the ceremony without her knowing...and when the time came Rafayel chose to save her over Lemuria...and that angered the gods and turned into ruins 🥲 But some are saying that he did kill her in this timeliness since there a was a part with the text that red "I will cut out your heart with a dagger honed.." but maybe that was just what's supposed to happen but he still chose to save her anyway... 🥲
I'm confused with the ending. Is it correct to say Rafayel was the last sea god because the prophecy knew he would betray Lemuria by not taking MC's heart to save the flame? Where did MC and the little fish go after they disappeared?

Your voice is so beautiful and relaxing as always! But omg this story broke my heart. I wonder if the Deep Sea got angry with Rafayel because he realized he would have to carve the heart out of MC and refused, but then the MC ordered Rafayel to do it anyways, so that the people of Lemuria would be saved. They do say a bunch of times in the story that once bonded he has to obey her orders. 😢

I've theories and I need to reread some of his other stories again to be clearer, but so far I'm guessing that the sea god ceremony was actually meant to be something cruel (e.g. the MC / follower was meant to be sacrificed/ killed without her knowing) but during the ceremony Rafayel did something to save her... made her disappear (and go to human world?) That's why in the last chapter 9, it said that later Lemuria went into ruins (which should only happen when the "ceremony" / what was really planned is disrupted..?) and nobody know exactly what happened... and the story ended with the theory that he "lied" to them.. e.g. maybe he chose to save MC / did something that was not in the best interest of Lemuria... for his beloved 🥲
