    He is and will always be ahead of Zidane for the best midfielder in history.
    I've never seen him miss-control a ball in any situation in his entire career.

    • @hinewdaniel2998
      @hinewdaniel2998 9 месяцев назад

      @Al-ji4gd he definitely isn't above. Zidane might be = or just below Iniesta. Zidane was very inconsistent and only liked playing in the games he cared about. Couldn't be bothered throughout a league campaign. Iniesta was a big reason Spain won 3 competitions in a row and Barcelona was so successful for many years. Retention magician vs a part timer all day every day.

    • @hinewdaniel2998
      @hinewdaniel2998 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@Al-ji4gd look Zidane is a great and all I'm saying is that Iniesta is greater. Iniesta also had many injures in that era and had to overcome a death in his inner circle and he still managed to be consistent while playing. Zizou had maybe 4 years as a good baller but like I said before not enough to make his team better at Real Madrid. That UCL volley solidifies his consistency that year? Give me a break.. he dribbled for far too long at times instead of giving a simple pass. Thats why people think he was this graceful dribbling master because he would hold on too the ball with those long legs of his and "dance around the field". His dribbling style would slow down play when they needed to speed things up. R9 made Zidane's passing look better than what they actually were when they played together at Madrid. At Juve he was better and I can see why he was great there. No arguments there but at Madrid the only thing he had going there wad that UCL volley and inconsistent play throughout those years. That's why I say Iniesta is better. Didn't matter what time it was he never had a bad game. He would always be 1, 2, 3 steps ahead.

    • @hinewdaniel2998
      @hinewdaniel2998 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@Al-ji4gd from the comments you have sent, it seems like your living is nostalgia. That Spain team would destroy the tall, more physical France of 1998. You and Zidane's fans can live there all you like, but Iniesta was definitely at a higher level for a lot longer. Xavi was relevant since he started playing for Barcelona, and it was highlighted from 2002 all the way until 2015. He was always playing well but never had the help he needed to be seen at that level. He played as a Defensive midfielder for the a few years .. something Zizou also played as and never got the recognition as well. The funny thing is that you know that, but you're stuck in la la land and think Zidane had always been this great player for most of his career. 4 years he played high level and in between those he wad very inconsistent. Honestly his most impressive feat was in 2006 when he played well in that worls cup. He knew it was the end and he gave it all he had . So I applaud him for that. But again Don Andres is superior because when he played with stars he was able to handle it 😏

    The absolute definition of chasing shadows on a football pitch - was facing Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets in their prime - just a peerless midfield with marvellous chemistry. Also, Iniesta was one of the fastest players I have seen in his speed carrying the ball (I don't mean outright sprint speed) - he had genuine acceleration on the ball and could slalom past people! But the people who worship football stats will probably say the likes of Lampard, Gerrard, etc were better than Iniesta 🤡🤡

    In my opinion, I have never seen a player control the midfield as well as Iniesta, his football iq and tech were unbelievable! And then to have xavi and busquets alongside him, who were both world class midfielders in their own right, although slightly below iniestas level, and then to have messi to feed the ball to upfront, that tica taca football made Barca unplayable at times!

    In my opinion, the best to play in that position. Glides with the ball at his feet. I've noticed this a lot with these Spanish midfielders actually, they accelerate with a lot more control while dribbling so that at pace the ball is within reasonable distance to them, rather than just heaving the ball forward and sprinting on to it with another heavy touch.

    I agree with Rants that Iniesta is better than CR7. Iniesta just has wayy more to his game. Idk why in this generation fans think the more goals you score, the better player you are. This whole way of thinking completely eliminates creative players from being seen as the best player in the world which is ironic because bar R9, the majority of the Ballon d’Or winners in the 90s and 2000s where No.10s. Even in today’s game, eventhough Lewandowski is an amazing striker and scores 50 goals a season, he’s not a better footballer than Neymar Jr. But because of this narrative “better stats=better player” in the modern game, Lewa is seen as better. Imagine Zidane playing in this era, he would never win the Ballon d’Or because his numbers weren’t amazing. Also this same perception is why CR7 has ever been compared to Messi because if you understand football, the essence of the game and entertainment, you can clearly see that Messi is on a different galaxy to CR7. Dont get me wrong scoring goals is an art and is very important to have a goalscorer in you team, but take away CR7’s goalscoring and what else is he elite at. For me there are many players who have been better than CR7, but it’s his numbers that puts him in these GOAT coversations. My childhood was watching Ronaldinho at Barca, so it’s sad how football has come to a point where stats are the metric for how good a player is
    Anyways Big up Rants for these brilliant reaction videos and your great analysis of the football players we all love and will truly miss once these stat-padding machines take over🙏🏾💪🏾💯

    Iniesta had a mad shoot on him... It's just that a touch to goal is better than a screamer coz of the finishing the time had on goal...
