I love this painting! The techniques are so great- contrast is critical, light on top of dark for depth. The saran wrap method- love love love. Of course the magic always happens in the moment, allowing things to flow thru you. I am an abstract painter and I really appreciate this video.
0:53 STOOOOPPP !!! Wohoo... I love the blue, the softness, the light..😍 this is a PERFECT painting yet!💫😄 but very interesting to see how you proceed. Would love to see the new result..😊
I see many comments to the effect of, “I don’t see the depth”. It takes direct viewing to see it. Compare a painting you like in a museum to a print of it....the print is only a reminder of what you saw and loved. Digital photography and videography are better than a print, but still are only a reminder of what you see in person. You’re brave for trying this, Adele. Thanks!
I started off with a mixed media 7x10 art book to draw and paint in. Also used charcoal and setting spray then painted over it after I spread the charcoal with my fingers. Lots cheaper than ruining canvas!
I wish people didn’t complain about lack of money for all the world to hear😭 Experimenting and having fun is a mindset - money has nothing to do with it.
This is exactly what I had in my mind but didn't know how to do it, or IF it was appropriate to do it. No place for fear in art. Thank you so much for this video.
Hi Adele! I'm moving from realism to abstract and you're right, abstract is much more difficult. One really has to create something from nothing as opposed to copying something that already exists. My question is when you are 'glazing' in White, is it Opaque or Transparent?
Интересный прием, привязать к длинной палке кисть, это отлично имитирует детский рисунок, спасибо за идею Адель:) An interesting technique, attach a brush to a long stick, it perfectly imitates a child's drawing, thanks for the idea Adele :)
Love watching you.. thank you for all your free tutorials . This one came out great but I didn't see the start of this painting . Is it in another video?
WOW....THIS IS A GORGEOUS PROCESS....I USED BRANCHES ITSELF AS BRUSHES AND THE OUTCOME WAS STUNNING, I ALSO USED TRIED UP VEGGIES AND USED THEM AS STAMPS
The pass few days I have discovered your beautiful videos and you have open my eyes to what is possible with colors. From watching you it have give me back the muse I needed to start back painting. I’m truly amazed by your talon and your creation of beauty your art expressed.
Adele love this but could you someday show how you start your paintings. I’m new to this and I’m trying to figure out what to do first. Thx for sharing.
Fascinating to see the neutrals at the beginning. That would be quite inspiring and exciting to paint over with some colour. Another brilliant video. Thanks.
You are amazing dear! I'm from Brazil and since I saw your videos few days ago, I started to thing absolutely diferent abou my art! Thanks a lot! Kisses! 🇧🇷😘
Also where you added the plastic wrap on to the painting with the squiggles on it - would doing it this way, make a different effect to just putting the squiggles directly onto the painting?
what a wonderful tutorial - I love your work. Have just started to attempt to do abstract art and find it so much more difficult than realistic landscapes I've previously done.
Hi go look upMary Newcomb an old friend of mine. She passed but I think you would like her style. She is in the Tate in London. She never went to art school was actually a maths teacher. She lived in amazing old old Tudor houses but she was a poet and have great observation of nature.
Layers! Yes! When I finally accepted I needed to place more layers, my colors became more intense. It took more work, and the satisfaction is worth it. Now I will put on at least 4 layers or whatever the need. Thank you!
So glad you saw improvement in your work with many layers. I usually have up to 10 layers. It doesn’t mean they have to all cover the entire painting, just parts of it. Thanks for watching. 🌸
I love your unusual art tools like the branch and seran wrap. You're paintings are lovely and thought provoking. Found you via Sunny L. in a testimonial video and I'm so glad I did. I'm always searching for successful artists who are using digital products like online courses and memberships to make a living, since that's what I'm aspiring to be and there are not a whole lot of artists who are successful in this online marketplace so thanks for the inspiration. I've subscribed!
I like the presentation of your work with written instruction . No talking, no music, very peaceful.
i love how you are so bold to cover your previos work on paintings!
I love this painting! The techniques are so great- contrast is critical, light on top of dark for depth. The saran wrap method- love love love. Of course the magic always happens in the moment, allowing things to flow thru you. I am an abstract painter and I really appreciate this video.

i wish i had the money to not be afraid of experimenting 😭😭 it looks like so much fun
You can still do it! Make small test abstract. They can be as small as you can afford.
I started off with a mixed media 7x10 art book to draw and paint in. Also used charcoal and setting spray then painted over it after I spread the charcoal with my fingers. Lots cheaper than ruining canvas!

Hi Adele!

I like this very much! Thx for the hint using transparent plastic foil for the prints. I will copy that :)
Great video, thank you so much for your generosity

Adele love this but could you someday show how you start your paintings. I’m new to this and I’m trying to figure out what to do first. Thx for sharing.
So interesting! I learned a lot with just this one video.
Lovely! Is the white you are using transparent?
Thank you. Really like your approach to creating art..
two hundred thousand views for abstract ! that says something about the power of this painting to affect. well done.
The work is so cool ^^
Nice to see you enjoying yourself! There's no better way than playing in the paint tins!!! 😁
Very helpful, thank you
i really need to learn how to do it,,, its stunning! i love the colors and how it blends together.
Love your scribble Scrabble and your paint smearing smashing is squashing. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful! Re adding the collage elements, are you using glaze as glue or is the paint still wet and they are sticking to that?
Fascinating to see the neutrals at the beginning. That would be quite inspiring and exciting to paint over with some colour. Another brilliant video. Thanks.
Thanks for the tutorial it was helpful 😀
I love your work

*about
Adelle you are amazing!
Hello Adele. What size brush are you using in this video?
rarely do I like an art guidance video but found this very inspiring in a time of artists block! thank you
Thank you for letting me know that this video was helpful. Artist’s block can be a challenge to move through. So glad this inspired you. 🌸
Also where you added the plastic wrap on to the painting with the squiggles on it - would doing it this way, make a different effect to just putting the squiggles directly onto the painting?
Thank you. What brands of paint do you use? They look so fluid and pigmented to me v my brands I use (golden, Matisse, Liquitex)
Nice thanks :)
what a wonderful tutorial - I love your work. Have just started to attempt to do abstract art and find it so much more difficult than realistic landscapes I've previously done.
Adele love your videos. One question have you used water based pastels in your art? I am playing around with them now.
Hi go look upMary Newcomb an old friend of mine. She passed but I think you would like her style. She is in the Tate in London. She never went to art school was actually a maths teacher. She lived in amazing old old Tudor houses but she was a poet and have great observation of nature.
Love that! She sounds like she was a wonderful person.

Hello, thanks for sharing great ideas, can I ask what is the best way to apply photos or pictures? Thank You!
Also, what is the best type of paper? I read you said no magazine photos, from where then?
The Collage pieces.
