I wasn’t aware that they had so close to manufacturing silk in that way, thats really reieving considering the environmental impact. But I also wonder if itll also have an effect on product quality in luxury brands. If everyone can access the materials, will they finally return to improving the quality of manufacturing and fabrics we saw before the wars put a strain on resources?
Its really quite remarkable! I imagine it will take some time to tweak it to perfection, but lets hope the progress makes everything better for all, thats the only way i think things will ultimately take big steps forward!
@@thelxwedown Yeah maybe it will. Ill be interested to see how long it takes to get adopted. I wonder if like mushroom leather it'll be 'accepted' but then be a bit flash in the pan with literally the only bag I can remember being the mushroom birkin. (I think Stella did something too, but I dont remember what it looked like)
The issue is its still not cheap, so realistically vintage leather goods are still appealing, but if the industry shifts to these sustainable alternative then its easily going to move in the right direction
