Getting into a gang is the easiest part. Leaving it is the toughest. I got jumped in at 15. Took a good beating. Jumped out at 22 and was in the hospital for a few days with 3 busted ribs, stitches above my eye and forehead, a broken ankle and a concussion. Best decision I made in my life. I also understand that for most of these kids, that may not be an option.
