Nice review. Looks ok but not sure about the sharp kink on both sides of fuselage top piece where the wings blend with the fuselage forward of the fins. Looking at photos of the real thing it looks more subtle than the kit. I would blend it in with a bit of filler. Whilst on filler - the cooling gills for the gun under the fuselage just forward of the nose landing gear should not be there. Hasagawa are the only ones to get this right. From another review I understand that the wing tip pods have incorrect finlets and the correct jamming pod for the centre line is not included (different shape to the ones mounted under the wing). Also missing are the adaptors for the HARM missiles. Overall nothing that can’t be fixed but Hasagawa Growler stacks up better.
Great review Bobby. Not sure if I want this one or the MENG Growler. I love Hobbyboss kits, just wish they came with Pilot figures.
Do yourself a favor and buy the Meng it’s much more accurate! The HB kit has a lot of inaccuracies that need to be fixed!
These HB Super Hornets are $100 USD here. Hell no I will stick with Hasegawa.
