- Kelly Clarkson just kicked off “The Kelly Clarkson Show” to high praise, but admitted to Ellen that she declined initial offers to have her own talk show. Luckily, her husband eventually convinced her to do it.

I think the reason that Kelly is so likeable is that she is real, she doesn’t come off as phoney like a lot of other celebrities do, and she seems like a person you wanna be friends with.

@@roseyplain In showbusiness, most celebs lose their popularity and lose jobs/gigs eventually as the public gets tired of you, with few exceptions. For example Janet Jackson was queen of 80s dance pop and now she is just celebrated as an icon, but all her recent projects don't do well.
They make millions though so they still have good runs if you find success.

What's great about Kelly is that if you watch her videos back on the 1st American Idol on 2001 and compare it to her recent videos you will see that she never change at all. Her personality then is still the same until now. She is still the genuine, kind and bubbly Kelly she is back then. It's been 18 years since then but she never let the entertainment industry change her which is very rare for artist who entered the industry young. Most even have drastic changes.

I took my daughter to her very first live music concert when she was 12. It was Kelly at The Hammersmith Apollo in London. Kelly's energy was phenomenal. My daughter was so tired from jumping up and down that she fell asleep on the aisle steps after about an hour 😀😂
