Yes! I agree. One of my favorite things about getting older is that I just don't care what anyone thinks about me anymore. If I put effort into my appearance, it's for ME! I love when we can start talking about all of our great qualities. Rock on, Molly!
Most definitely! I’m in my 50s and I just don’t care about that anymore. I said I didn’t care when I was younger, I even told myself I didn’t care- but I did. While there are negatives about getting older, there are SO MANY positives, especially for women (except the whole society judging women for looking their age as they get older).

In order to make up for the multiple disabling conditions, I got thick, gorgeous, naturally bright red hair. I'm also witty and kind. Thank you for this fun video! I love your new hair
I’m so glad I waited and decided to watch this video yesterday. My therapist asked me to list 5 traits I like about myself and I could barely come up with 5. It’s so sad how like you said as woman were taught to hate ourselves, and not always only physically but mentally too.
This video concept is great haha. A healthy dose of comedy and actual advice too. I love the intentional cheekiness of saying stuff like I'm blind but at least I've got good hair! 😂
The striped gray sweater you wore in this video reminded me of your mom. I’m not sure why. But you looked SO glamorous in it! It looks so beautiful the way the sleeves move when you talk!
I'm super busy a lot and don't always get to watch my favorite youtubes... so when I clicked this and saw your hair I thought, that looks REALLY good on her, her face is JUST the right shape for that hair cut... Didn't know it was brand new. You look gorgeous!
I def struggle with being Blind on a daily it annoys me to the core you make it seem so livable lol but where there is a will there’s always a way for sure your so full of life I love that❤
I'm really grateful for my creativity. I have a variety of mental illnesses. And they are progressive. As time goes by I lose more and more functionality. But I always have my ability to create. I write, I sketch, I crochet, I sew tiny cloth dolls. When things are really hard I make something and it gets me through. It's also good for keeping a community around me. Its always a conversation starter. Hmm. Physically I'm not sure. I'm in a much better self esteem place. I used to wish I could be in a completely different body in every way. Now I am comfortable with my body. I'm not beautiful in the conventional sense. But I'm okay.
Molly - you could do ANYTHING with your hair & you will still be one of the most gorgeous women on the planet (& that’s because of a) your physical beauty and b) your positive attitude. I truly do admire you and love what you bring to this world. 2 things I love about myself are: 1) my hair (it’s long and straight and easy to maintain) 2) my ability to love others (I love telling random women something positive about them)
I love my sense of humor. Life is so boring. I can only depend on myself to entertain myself. And i have one of the funniest minds I know. I also love my stubborn streak. If i wasn't so stubborn I would have given up on my dreams of owning a horse. ❤
Mentally, I think the thing I love most about myself is my patience. Obviously to some extent it's something I work on, but it's something that comes quite easily to me, and I'm grateful for that. And I don't so much mean patience with waiting, I can still get pretty impatient and frustrated when it comes to waiting, I hate waiting, but I mean my patience with people. I work hard to, but also I think find it easier than most, to accept people for who they are, and not get angry or frustrated with people for things they can't change about themselves. I think it's a mixture of my upbringing - a great special needs primary school, that taught us that we all have things we struggle with and we should accept each other for it, a great family, and also the best side of Catholicism (that what makes someone a good or bad person is what they choose to do, not what they can't control). But I also think it's something I was born with. If someone doesn't understand that's not their fault, if someone's attracted to children it's not their fault (yes I took it there), and you can't hold against someone something they can't control. Instead, help them to deal with whatever it is as best they can. Instead, be patient. Help them understand. Help them cope. Help them live their lives the best they can. Whatever's going on for someone, accept who they are, accept what they can't change, and help them as best you can. My grandfather has dementia, and my mum often gets angry with him about things, because she struggles to cope. But I know he can't help it, and I never get angry with him. But I try not to with my mum either, I know she's doing her best and she doesn't want to get angry with him, she just struggles sometimes.
I never thought what i loved about myself 😮 1. I love my eye colour (grey/green with a dark grey ring at the edge). Even though they are bit dark i think they are a unique colour and if the light hits right they are beautiful green! 2. I can be stubborn if I need to be, especially with goals/ wishes of mine. Of course stubbornness has its flaws but sometimes its fantastic to meet my goals. I managed to go abroad for an exchange year or i finished my portfolio for art studies and got accepted! And I love it, that I WILL work for my dreams, wishes and future. Im proud of the times when I am stubborn 😊
The things I love about myself are that I am empathetic and compassionate, which I feel go hand in hand. I am a very understanding person. When something happens to me, at first I react emotionally, take myself out of the situation, vent, and let myself feel those feelings, but then I am good at taking emotion out of a situation to understand the objective things that happened and I make sure not to assume intentions of other people because I'm not in their head and their body. But I can use this objective mindset where I understand where folks could be coming from, and I use that to set boundaries and try to help that person through whatever is going on for them. the thing I love about my physical body is I love my curves. I am plus sized and on the taller end of the spectrum, but I hold my weight well. I have issues with finding clothes that fit properly, sure, but for the most part I can feel my body and enjoy the shape. I also really love my eye color 💚 So, I'm low vision and have horrific ADHD. But, I do have that trait of needing order in the chaos. there's a method to my madness even if it doesn't look like it to a fully sighted NT person. I feel like once I live on my own and I have full say of how my space will be laid out, the cleanliness might get easier because I'll be allowed to fully use the tips and tricks I hear for blind folks and for ADHD folks to use. And I know I am going to hire someone to do certain chores for me to help with the organization that consistently fails me, which is laundry.
I love my curly hair! I like to compare people's intense skincare routines to my haircare routine cuz its the best way to explain how much love and effort i put into it ❤ One thing I used to think was a negative but now love about myself is how sensitive I am 😊 yes I can cry at the drop of a hat, but I have SO much love and compassion to give!
You do have GREAT hair. And you have GREAT style. I LOVE this striped fuzzy sweater. SO lovely. I also think I have great hair. Now that it's all silver-grey, it has a lot of bounce and wave when it's short and it fluffs around my head. I think one of my strengths is an authentic warmth that, with my students especially, I make them feel seen and heard and valued. I'm really proud of that second one because, as an autistic person, that is a manner that I've learned to use my inherent need for justice and empathy and turn that outward toward others in a positive way.
At the beginning of this video and thinking "I bet Molly's viewers can add to that list!" Yes, I can see why you wouldn't want to say "I am beautiful" but you are beautiful and have beautiful eyes. You are so smart and likable and have a good sense of humor. I think there are lots more.
I used to hate my hair it's inbetween wavy and curly but as I have gotten older it matches my personality & I wouldn't want my hair to be any different internally I have a big heart and always try to make people laugh
One of my favorite things about this video is that 90% of your strengths are not things I have - but I do have my sight - so my take away is to appreciate that and be more chill about all the sweat (mine is kind of acidic and actually irritates my skin!) the amount of support my boobs need, my unruly hair, the memory lapses and the... whatever, I forget already... 😀
Love this video we all need to talk ourselves up. Look at the good thing about ourselves. We are all too quick to find the faults. Molly we need people like you to do videos like this to remind us to be kind to ourselves. Does mean we even have to like our farts too?
I love my freckles even back when everyone else hated freckles, i love them. I love my intelligence. I dont think im top tier and i have a lot of former gifted kid issues but I take pride in what I have and what it has allowed me to achieve.
I may have low vision but I have tough skin that never sunburns and cuts and scrapes heal really well. I also have pretty good resilience to both hot and cold temperatures. No matter the weather, I spend much of my time outdoors :)
Love the new hairstyle! Sooooo good. I get the desire for curly hair. Mine was dead straight (and beautiful) but started waving around 30, now at 52, it’s wavy/curly. I love the curls, when they happen to look good. But since I didn’t grow up w/ it, I have no clue what to do to make it look good. Plus it’s a lot of effort for my chronic pain, so I usually just throw it up in a pony tail or bun.
I love how encouraging, you are as a person love yeah Molly❤ A couple of things that i'm internally happy about in myself is how I'm a kind person & how I treat others. I love my creative mindset as well. Externally my blue eyes an my chest lol❤ #SelfLove
One physical thing: I'm far sighted . My vision when it comes to seeing from afar is perfect. 20/20, last row of the chart. And it's really practical. For example, I don't drive, but I can tell the person who is driving what exit to take at the highway because I see the signs much sooner. One mentally thing: I have excellent self control when it comes to eating. And this I'm proud because my brain sucks giving fullness cues. I'm always hungry and I could always eat more. When I was a child I would eat until throwing up. So I have had to learn my portions and not overeating. And I have become pretty good at it. People think I'm a naturally skinny person that eats whatever I want. Boy, if they only knew...
One thing physical: my hair is great. It is straight and very blonde. It requires no styling. I could also complain that it won't hold any style at all, but no, you said positive. One thing internal: I am really good at researching and finding credible information. I have an innate love of learning that I've been able to use to the benefit of many.
Hi Molly, I’m loving this positive video. I have a a condition called Turner Syndrome so I don’t have two working X chromosome’s. My body doesn’t deal with growth hormone like everyone else so even though I have had growth hormone injections every night from the ages 4-16 I am still 4 foot 9, even now at nearly 37! I also don’t have working ovaries so I take HRT each day and there have been times that I don’t like my body so this has been a great video to watch /listen to and realise that I can still love my body as it is! Love from a fan from 🇬🇧
As a fellow short gal (5'2"), travel is also a lot easier being petite!! And for how much traveling you do Molly, esp with your guide dog, that's another blessing of being small! I also used to lament being short when I was younger, because I was also into fashion and did ballet - two things that make you feel crappy if you aren't tall and willowy. But then one day I realized I can fully straighten my legs on an airplane, and that made me so grateful that I'm not tall 😂
How AMAZING! YCOU ARE TRYLY AN INSPIRATION! I Iam only 4'10 but i am okay with that also only occasionally hit my head and i am grateful for that. I am in my 70s and i have a great memory. The doctor ask me what i do to maintain such a good memoty and i tell them that it is because of my vision loss, i have to be very organized and remember where everything is. Thank you Milly for being an inspiration to us all 😊!
I’m 5’ 2” and I love being short too. My mom wanted me to get shots to delay my period when I first got it so I would grow more first because she hates being short but I refused. And I’m so glad I did!
Love all your vids! For my two things: I love my height (I’m about 6ft tall) and all my freckles (which both took time to love) for physical. In terms of mental I love my sense of humor as it’s so fun to make people laugh!
hahaha your mom reminds me of my mom. I love their confidence. The other day I sent my mom a picture of me cleaning and cooking (I just had a baby 3 weeks ago) and I said wow I feel old. And she replied psh I don’t even feel old and I’m 51 🤣 it was adorable. I’m only 29 and still look 20 but a newborn will age you hahaha. I love cleaning and organizing when I’m stressed too, it’s great being a bit OCD with cleaning haha.
I was so bummed the other day, I just realized that when getting a breast reduction for pain reasons (medically necessary) Doctors can't just take you from an F or G cup size down to a size B cup. There is a chance I will not even be able to get out of the D-cup size 🤯😳😭. I am so bummed because I wanted to go small and be able to wear just little bralettes and stuff. I might not be able to even do a lot of the sports that I want to be able to do. I am hoping am so wrong about this, but if you are small-chested, be thankful for that!
Hair: very good and now making it purple 💜 will make it perfect. Eds gives soft skin. Height? Sweating? I'm actually now sure we are cousins. ❤😂 My grandma was your height and not sweating is called anhydrosis.
I am also visually impaired, loved this video so much I think it+s so important to accept and love ourselves About my body I think I look cute and I recognize how much of a privilege that is in many ways. Personality: I love my sweetness and authenticity
God, Im sighted and hit my head on everything, im 5’11” and it gets annoying! One thing physically I love about myself is my arms and hands. One thing internally I love about myself is my wide taste in music and my love and understanding of it!!
I love my hair and my intelligence. It's so important that we as women learn to love ourselves because society and beauty standards are just waiting to tear us down.
I have curly short hair. Let me tell you something the maintenance that goes to it I give up that’s why I straighten it maybe once or twice a week and that’s it.
I also never wear bras, and I have relatively large breasts. I don't really know what size they are, as I never wear bras, but maybe one of these days I should get them sized just so I know. But I think most people would feel they need to wear a bra if their breasts were my size, but I just don't, I never have. Whenever I'm at home I'm naked, whenever I go out I wear a long dress and nothing else. Like, literally a long dress, flip flaps, a coat if it's cold and nothing else. But I'm a nudist, so I like to keep it down to one item of clothing to be considered "decent" and call it a day. I do like the flowy skirts though. But I feel most myself with nothing on, and I never, ever wear any kind of underwear, or trousers for that matter. They're too enclosing for me.
I agree with Molly when she says does these things make up for it? I’m visually impaired and legally blind which for people don’t know what legally blind is I can lose my vision and I have the same diagnosis as Molly does. so I understand where she’s coming from. I also have things that kind of make up for my visual impairment, like I don’t have acne I have a very good memory you can ask anybody I can make it pretty well I can hear pretty well, so I understand what she’s coming from and I agree with Molly

A LOT of the credit for that one goes to her mom. Molly did very much win the parent lottery though.

The striped gray sweater you wore in this video reminded me of your mom. I’m not sure why. But you looked SO glamorous in it! It looks so beautiful the way the sleeves move when you talk!
This hair is giving life, vitality, flirty and fun!! Love ittt 😊
I love my eyes and I love my organizational skills
You’re a beautiful Human! ❤❤ Thank you for being you! 😘🇨🇦
2 things I love about myself are:
1) my hair (it’s long and straight and easy to maintain)
2) my ability to love others (I love telling random women something positive about them)
Molly! A character in the Netflix movie “Happiness for Beginners” had Retinitis Pigmentosa! Thank-you for shedding light on visual impairments!
I never thought what i loved about myself 😮
I also really love my eye color 💚
So, I'm low vision and have horrific ADHD.
First, LOVE your sweater! Second, this is such a good video for everyone, to just be positive for what you have!
I don't know how to say this but I love the Molly we have.
I LOVE your new hair! It's sassy and cute and suits you so well ^-^
Love this video we all need to talk ourselves up.
This hair length is so good on you!! I would love to see this cut on you in blonde
Externally my blue eyes an my chest lol❤ #SelfLove
hey molly, its been over 3 months following u , ur one of my favorite RUclipsrs , i love you keep up 💜
One physical thing: I'm far sighted .
You are looking so fresh and happy girl! Love that cut!
I love love love the current hair style ❤
I’m 5’ 2” and I love being short too. My mom wanted me to get shots to delay my period when I first got it so I would grow more first because she hates being short but I refused. And I’m so glad I did!
We need more moms telling themselves they are beautiful! I think the world would be better if they did.
Love all your vids! For my two things: I love my height (I’m about 6ft tall) and all my freckles (which both took time to love) for physical. In terms of mental I love my sense of humor as it’s so fun to make people laugh!
We absolutely do love a clean, tidy man!
I can definitely relate to the anxiety/ stress sweat! For me it gets so bad that I’ve considered getting shots to minimize my sweat glands!
Girlllll your look is pristine!!! I'd wear the entire fit
hahaha your mom reminds me of my mom.
I love your current hair cut on you. Very chic and elegant. Giving boss girl energy..amazing with your features.
I think you are a beautiful, kind and independent woman. Your fashion is really great and you embrace the inner beauty of you❤
I was so bummed the other day, I just realized that when getting a breast reduction for pain reasons (medically necessary) Doctors can't just take you from an F or G cup size down to a size B cup.
Obsessed with your new hair
Hair: very good and now making it purple 💜 will make it perfect. Eds gives soft skin. Height? Sweating? I'm actually now sure we are cousins. ❤😂
My grandma was your height and not sweating is called anhydrosis.
I am also visually impaired, loved this video so much I think it+s so important to accept and love ourselves
About my body I think I look cute and I recognize how much of a privilege that is in many ways.
Personality: I love my sweetness and authenticity
Love your new look Molly!
You’re so blessed you don’t have excess body and facial hair, that would be such a pain if you couldn’t see it to remove it!!
You’re so lucky Molly you have beautiful hair and plus you don’t sweat at all 🌈🌈🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🍀🍀🌈💚💚🌈🍀🌈💚🫶🏻🫶🏻🌈🌈🌈💚🫶🏻💚🌈🌈🌈🌈🫶🏻🫶🏻💚🍀🌈🌈💚🫶🏻🌈🍀🍀💚🫶🏻🫶🏻🌈🍀🍀🌈🌈🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🌈🌈🍀💚💚🍀🍀🫶🏻
Your hair is so cute!
One physical - I love my eyes, they change between blue, green and grey. one internal - I love how good of a singer I am
Molly you are awesome.
Physical: Love being tall (5'9 / 175cm)
Mental: I have debilitating anxiety but that makes me EXTREMELY good and resourceful during emergencies ✨
I love my ability to to empathize with others and my hair :)
I agree with Molly when she says does these things make up for it? I’m visually impaired and legally blind which for people don’t know what legally blind is I can lose my vision and I have the same diagnosis as Molly does. so I understand where she’s coming from. I also have things that kind of make up for my visual impairment, like I don’t have acne I have a very good memory you can ask anybody I can make it pretty well I can hear pretty well, so I understand what she’s coming from and I agree with Molly
i actually love this shot/angle/background, something about it made me click on the video
