Talking about it he learns his parents wanted him and fought for him. He knows he’s a miracle. What a fine young man
The kid is fascinated seeing himself on the TV screen ❤..he's so normal like any other kid his age. God bless him and his family.
Super With the Correct care and Medical Team ❤️🐣🐇😂🍀
as being born a baby that almost died, every story i hear that a child makes progress is very great to hear! always be positive!
Legend says his brain is still growing to the point where he plans to take over the world
God bless him
Pinky here. I can confirm it. Every day he wants to do the same thing.
They're Pinky and the Brain
Yes, Pinky and the Brain
One is a genius, the other's other insane.....
He's a beautiful boy . I don't know how his brain could grow that much.
It's because we're talking about the brain right after the birth. Every baby's brain develops enormously during the first days, weeks, months, years. So many neural connections are being built when the baby learns new things about their environment. It's the same case here, the brain obviously got good activation with the help of the family, therapies etc., a demand for connections was created so the braincells grew them. The phenomenon is called neural plasticity.
Its a sort muscle
How? It's called GOD!
@@paulp6405 Nope, it's called Science.

He is very expressive here - like a 40 year old bloke trapped in a kid’s body
Right! He should have been allowed to say more. I know he can.
What a strong little boy 💪 ❤
how is he strong, its not like he chooses to live

I think we are learning more and more about how the brain can, with specific training/exercises, rewire itself to compensate for functions that are underdeveloped or not performing correctly. What an incredible thing! I wish this little boy and his family the best. I really admire their determination, honesty and passion ❤
He is a great spirited child and I hope he grows into his brain that gives him such positive life.
This kid is so cute. He is having a good time.
He is precious. Extraordinary. Unbelievable. Unique
An amazing little boy.
To clarify, His head was full of a lot of fluid to the point only 2% of was his underdeveloped brain. Now He have around 35%+ of a full size brain.
No he has 80% of a brain size for his age! It is impossible for someone with 35% of brain size for his age respond to questions so cogently.
@@umbertlambert2113 It was stated he had less than 70 of his Brain left. And age young ages the Remaining Brain can learn to do 3 different skills needed to live and communicate. There a Man who have only 48% of his Brain and live a Normal life. And I stated this Boy have Over 35% left and still expanding as he grows. Just for now it's still compact.
@@kaeganthornhill3936I googled this and it said he had 80% of his brain at age 4.
What a energetic and bright young lad ! 🥰
He's so adorable! I want him to succeed! ❤
They shouldn’t talk about termination in front of him.
This is True but also now he can be an advocate. And advocate of the same situation. I don't believe in abortion for anything except death of the infant or a implies not comparable with life like the baby didn't make lungs or kidneys which is not survivable.
Why not? He deserves to know
Children aren't fainting flowers. Giving them trust and truth goes a long way. The worst thing you can do is lie to a kid about something important. Because either they notice or they find out later and then you lost all credibility and they feel devalued.
@@mindymorgan8479 You don't believe in terminating a pregnancy to save the life of the mother?
@bowtoyoursensei554 I came to make the same comment. I have 2 friends who would have died if they didn't terminate. As a healthcare professional, I believe we should leave these decisions to the patient and their doctor.
I'm so happy for him! What a cutie!!
Pretty shocking to talk about that around the kid
Maybe, but I think being open and honest about the situation without hiding anything to him is important.
I don't think he understands what they mean by termination.
I once saw a program about a person with a brain disease that made the one half of the brain shrink to almost zero. Surgeons removed what was left of the half dead brain. They expected the person could not control half his body (because thats how the brain works) but the person woke up from surgery and the half brain that was well had taken over all functions on both sides of the body.
So miracles do happen…🙏🏽
Because God is good
no
Well he died
@@alexthedio He didn't die. He's alive and doing well.
God really blessed this family, and I pray he continues to do do. Kid's incredibly lucky to overcome the odds like that. 💙
He’s adorable. I love that little smile and wink he does!
So happy for this child. Keep on fighting.
Sweet lil guy. Hope! This is so hopeful!
He’s a keeper! And sooo adorable!
They really just started talking about termination in front of Noah like that?? What an insensitive question to ask!
The child is having fun and not paying attention to the big adult talk. I would think his abilities have some limitations. He is a cutie pie though and appears happy.
He doesn't fully understand what they are saying. Plus, they are admitting that they chose to keep and love him no matter what!
God blessed you guys …🙂
This is incredible
Fascinating.❤
Watched DIY SOS cried now look at him ,what a boy!!!!!!!
Isn’t he just a gorgeous cheeky chappy? ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️x
Neuroplasticity is amazing
Indeed
Yes!!! ❤
I might be wrong but I think neuroplasticity is different from adding brain matter/volume.
God bless this Gentleman and his family amen 🙏
Every time I have the slightest disagreement with my mum, she keeps repeating that it was the worst day when I was born, that this is the biggest regret of her life, even that she wishes if I had been aborted. When that mother looked at her child when she was asked about the day he was born, and she said what a wonderful day you were born, and he curled up all cutely, I got a bit teary eyed. God bless that lovely family
Beautiful Noah
Not only a miracle but he's quite a character. God bless......one day at a time. : )
I can’t stop looking at that man’s wig
That isn’t a wig, Richard’s always had great hair 😂 and he has never dyed this too!
THis defies science. Wonderful.
I mean as long as he uses all 2%, he'll be on par with the rest of us
God bless Noah and his parents
He's amazing.
Should you talk about this in front of the child
I felt the same way. How can these people mention “termination” To the parents, in front of Noah? It’s unreal, with how out of touch and inappropriate these interviewers were and behaved.
Yeah. I found that shocking too. And the look on his face made me think he understood more than they might think
They treat him a bit like a pet during this I thought. Because it's pretty weird saying this when he kinda knows what they're saying
If he was born 11/11/2011 he is 12 and will be 13 his birthday
Sweet boy.
okay hes for sure the cutest kid ive seen lol
It just goes to show how little we know about the brain!
He is wonderful 😊❤
'Yep'.
Does he speak more than "yep"?
yep
Yes he said something starting with J
I thought I was the only one noticing that
No way is that just 2%... hes got a sense of humour
he still has more brain than my teammates in dota
Is he still recovering, i want to see an update on him
I wish I could grow a brain too
Wonderful that Noah was born and is doing so well. He sure is cute!

Why cant people appreciate the hard working doctors man
Nothing to do with a sky fairy, it’s science and medicine that have contributed towards his survival-If we go by your belief system, your sky daddy caused him to suffer the medical issues (after all, everything is a part of his “plan”, right?)

@Z_inky so what am I in denial about? Enlighten me .
This makes me think there’s lots of scientific or medical or pharmaceutical research that is being shared with a very select group of people. But maybe key points and significant details learned in school and knowledge typically passed around in the public domain is just too varied among people.
I wonder if he's still doing okay now
Wow.
Hes very lovely x
My son was born at term. Then , within a few months of his birth, he developed a seizure disorder. It stopped, then the other side of his brain produced seizures. It stopped, and no further seizure activity as he grew and developed. As my son learned to walk, it became apparent, that he had an abnormal gait. They did a brain scan, and discovered that his cerebellum was just a fluid sac, the condition is called Dandy-Walker varient. Now, at this point, my son was 3 years old, and doctors were telling me all the things my son would never be able to do. They also diagnosed him with a combined form of ADHD, his being a high functioning form. I wasn't going to sit by and let my son not get better. I decided to test a theory I had. I thought a focal point would cause my son's brain to compensate for the deficits. I bought him a plug and play video game. My son's balance is perfect. He could run, roller skate, ice skate, etc. His hand/eye coordination is better than mine. My son is soon to be 22 years old. Im glad I didn't listen to doctors, because they were wrong in his case. Sometimes you have to listen to your gut, and even take cues from your child. My son needed to be given the best chance possible, and I was not going to give up.
kid was born with 2% of his brain but still speaks 20x better than me…
Sounds like it was all squashed up, his intelligence seems fine
Am I the only one who thinks it's really awful that they are talking about this right in front of the boy? I wonder how he is feeling. We don't use the full extent of our brains so what he has, is likely being fully used for his survival
Only God can do these things!!!
Shows you DR’S DONT know everything like they think they do !
i'm pretty skeptical of that it was only 2%, also neuron growth slows down a lot after birth, the brain might have been squished together but i'm not sure
I think it was probably compressed into 2% was very small due to fluids around it. Brain can still grow after the child is born and even though it might never be at 100% of the size, our brains can adopt. People have been in accidents and lost parts of their brain and they still adopted and recovered. Human brains are amazing.
It's because we're talking about the brain right after the birth. Every baby's brain develops enormously during the first days, weeks, months, years. Yes 2% volume squashed by fluid against the skull, but after most of the fluid was drained his brain expanded to about 50% volume and another scan at 2 years old revealed quite a normal looking, but small, brain with a lot of fluid still in the centre.
Thanks so much for weighing in with your expert opinion
looks and acts like a young Shane Gillis, someone send this to him!
He could become uk prime minister
2 percent? That can’t be.
It grew to 80%
Makes you wonder, how much brain do you really need to function? Apparently bird-brained is no longer an insult, huh? Crows are birds yet are pretty smart. 🤔

They cut out the brain talk. So did he grow a brain or was it there scrunched up???????
Scrunched up I think, i don’t know about brains growing after birth
Sorry I’m laughing here, here being Australia, but l became more interested in the weather report below the video, ( no disrespect to the little lad, I did watch it all, bless him) the weather which read….Birmingham 11c Bournemouth 11c Cardiff 11c Plymouth 11c and so on, all 11c. Wouldn’t it save the weather man time to say England is 11c today 😂. Your country is the size of Tasmania who get a 2c difference between east and west, that’s it. Australia however varies from 8c to 32c on the same day. Just a bit if trivia.
