  • On July 17, 1977, Prime Minister Begin went to seek the Rebbe's (Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson) blessings before going to meet with President Carter at the Camp David peace talks with Egypt. This short film details Begin's historic visit with the Rebbe, and is comprised of beautiful and rare archival footage, audio, and photos.
    Ultimately the Rebbe was disappointed with Begin and spoke against the Camp David Accords, which Begin signed with Egypt several years later.
    An excerpt from the film:, "Faithful and Fortified, Volume III: Prime Ministers."

    He however did listen to the Rebbe about being proud and unapologetic about being Jewish and the Jewish ownership the Land of Israel, which the Rebbe spoke about. See here to give you an idea of what Begin was doing and one can only imagine this was with the Rebbe's guidance...

      Lubavicher don't refuse to use Ivrit in everyday conversation as do Haredim. It would be therefore Hebrew. However it is possible that the L Rebbe might struggle with words like nuclear weapon and electricity for which there is no equivalent, clearly in biblical Hebrew... he might revert to English for these words.
      The whole point of the English conversation in the clip was it was for the cameras and the US and UK public.

      Menachem Begin's English is nearly perfectly mid Atlantic.. you would not take him for a product of Mitte Europa listening to it.
      For the record M B would have had a good knowledge of Polish, Yiddish but possibly only spoken Yiddish, Biblical Hebrew, Russian, Ivrit.. ie Modern Ivrit, English , which you can hear is perfect ... a true renaissance man. I 'd like to claim he played the violin too ! -but I don't know . He was also a fully qualified lawyer.

      Yiddish was his first language. I think he is only speaking English for the television’s benefit. In Yechidus I’m sure they talked Yiddish.

      Yiddish is the language of the yoke of the Diaspora. For someone called Schwartz the blessed you don't seem to understand very much about how Israel operates and how Yiddish was stamped out in secular society there. Tim Fidler. NZ. Nth Auckland.

    So a prime minister meets with a Rabbi, refuses to say what they talked about because it’s “confidential”.
    Advisors to said prime minister go back to the Rabbi to report to him and decades later treat the whole thing with utmost secrecy.
    This is some next level Elder of Zion-business!

    • @goldengun9970
      @goldengun9970 2 года назад

      Elder of Zion level is just horrible anti semitic literature whose roots can be traced all the way back to early church father’s whose hate can be traced straight from the NT itself.
      You are just parroting church hate. Church only projects when it hates us. You have been fooled
