The reality is, the peace with Egypt from the Camp David Accords has more or less been kept by both sides for the past 45 years. What Israel lost by giving back the Sinai oil fields was made up by the aid from the U.S. Although Israel has no oil production, shortly after Camp David, a tremendous natural gas field was found in Israeli coastal waters.
