Re: Screwing I teach 50/90/100 when using a lot of fasteners on a product. Get all fasteners to 50% to ensure they all fit, then 90%(finger tight) for final adjustments, then 100% or three ugga dugga's depending on your fancy.

It seems like importing a good quantity of blades to the UK would be a lot easier than doing another run of a modified design. olfa is german, i would think you could get them from Europe
@@ChristinaK1024 olfa is Japanese and I can get blades here they're just less available in shops. I prefer the smaller blades. It's no problem,it's just a thought. It wouldn't be a big job to downsize the drawing on CAD.

Oh man beautiful, I 3d printed a plastic knife handle recently, used the mirror function to make it left handed. Can't wait to grow up and be able to metal 3d print a version. Also when you anodize titanium electrically you can choose the colour based on the voltage you use. Blue gold red etc, there is a entire chat you can follow. A electroplating brush a 0-80v DC power supply anyone become a artist.

BTWs, that piston keychain with the magnet is the cat's balls. Use it to collect little bits of metal out of my Midget and Sprite when I'm working on it, like screws and metal shavings from drilling shit out. Used it dangling on a string to fetch a lock washer that fell into my fan belt pulley because I couldn't find my magnet on a stick. Works great. Right pain the ass on a keychain, but super useful off it.
Been following for a some friggin time, i'm a painter and I use those cheap little itty bitty versions of this with snap off blades. And frankly, I like the thin profile of those, but hate the size.
Honestly, cheaper than I was expecting. Can't put a price on quality. Buy once, cry once. Same as me pocket knife, $150 but I've had it for 10 years now

An easier way to get an even color throughout the titanium would be to heat a hot plate of steel, cast iron, etc. and set the titanium on it. Pull off when desired color appears, if not slightly sooner

As a sign/wrap guy I would be all over another one of these in a version that fits the smaller 9mm OLFA blades...just broke the plastic lock slide part on yet another one the other day...we give these things a hot supper pretty frequently but still need something smaller with a bit of finesse...the olfa is metal everywhere except a tiny plastic slide lock

On my Olfas I have to make sure the screw is tightened down or the blade pulls out on draggy cuts. I'm banking on that locking mechanism being as secure as advertised. I feel pretty safe. Either way, I've watched your shit for hours, have some of my money.

In your laser nesting software you can line up the two TI parts the same distance as the lasers kerf apart and add a line along the common edge 1/2 way between them. We do this on 20g-3/8ths steel to save scrap at work
my local home depot no longer sells the dewalt regular blades or the yellow knife now they only have the husky serrated edge blades and garbage husky knives and its really aggravating not only for the 25mm but for all other the snap blade sizes. also I have never set a yellow dewalt 25mm knife on fire but then again I never really tried but I'm sure its quite possible

If you change the design so that the nubs are on the outside of the case, then the blade won't jam if they aren't fully removed. that is a free design change that will reduce the learning curve for assembly.
Don't know if this was by design or not, but all my fasteners extend past the opposite side. Would I be able to sand them down so they are flush with the surface or would that not be advised? Love the knife, thank you so much!

I would sandblast the parts with a fine grit. Gives a really nice surface! An also takes care of the sharp lasercut edge!
