I couldn't have said it any better. My hubby is a big berring sea fisherman who would never watch something like fashion police but came to love it. I too cried when she left this world. Can't wait to see her on the flipside. Everyone is so damn sensitive these days🤷♀️
This is how Joan supported Ru. To anyone watching this, it would seem different than what it was. Joan is from a generation, where no one would have supported this. She was so progressive her entire life. A real gem. ♥ Willing to breach subjects that no one else would touch with a ten-foot pole. Love her. Wish her spirit well. Wish her family well. Amen. ♥
Really? I love rupaul, but he literally has never once told a new story since the 90s lol I find that endearing about him But he tells the same stories over and over.... I think that's a reason he doesn't get interviewed much
Seeing Joan and Rupaul warms my heart. I miss her and fashion police. Thanks for posting these Melissa. As my daughter said about me, Joan was one of one.
Tbf I think he was trying to appease Joan…but he is kinda right tranny isn’t so terrible but it’s the intent behind the use. Ru is gay and has free range to use all gay slurs. That’s part of the gay rule book. Just like black people can drop the n word. That’s their word. Etc.
I will never tire of your mom's voice. It is soothing to me in a very odd way. She sounds like the Jewish grandmother I always wished for but just my dumb luck, I got a mean German Lutheran who only loved as long as you were a cute baby, puppy or a kitten - once you hit age two and said more than 4 words at a time you were banished from her presence. I remembered when your mother voiced Francine' s grandmother on PBS' Arthur and how non-hip cool and honest she was with her cartoon grand daughter and that's still how she sounds to me today watching these In Bed With Joan Webisodes. She also had and raised one helluvah great kid, thank you for keeping her legacy alive.
When you see the truth - and known your own so well - it’s hard to speak anything but. Sadly the children just can’t understand to learn from their elders these days, and instead try to lecture them.
Thank you Melissa…I’ve been watching your mom since I was a kid and she was on Johnny Carson. Oh, she made me laugh so hard. I needed these. Such a remarkable woman ❤
man i miss her so much. i was a kid when she passed away and i remember being so sad. she actually inspired me to get into fashion school. forever my icon!
Whenever we have progress they fight to put us back in the shadows. I think the only thing is this time with social media we can find our community's and band together much easier.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for putting these videos out so we can Laugh Hilariously!!! (No stains on this bed :'-D"" ) Loved her, and love You for sharing Your Lovely Witty Mother with us
Repeating history has been a common concept since the first world war. Thats when the quote was made as a reaction to the end of the first world war. History is on a twenty year repeat cycle. Always has been
This makes me so sad to watch. I still can't believe our Joan is gone. Melissa we are all very proud of you and your mom's legacy. Joan came to Earth to win. She never stopped fighting. She is a true inspiration to all of us. When the chips were down or when Johnny Carson banned her, Joan said I'm moving forward no matter what. So for being such an inspiration to us comedians and the world, I salute Joan and her heart. Thank you Joan for the memories. Thank you Melissa for continuing to post these absolute gems! -- Will F.
It is wonderful Joan is immortalized on celluloid… loved this episode; I think the pair of them do have a special “seeing” and feel like they are in the room. ❤️ (oh and f*#!ing funny as hell they be!)
What a fantastic interview! I love how Joan shows genuine interest and probes so thoughtfully. It's such a joy to see two of my most beloved entertainers having an open, boundary-pushing conversation. Thank you for sharing this gem!
Thank you for making me smile and laugh today!!! I so miss when “politically correct “ wasn’t an issue in humor. Your mother was a gem. One in a million. Through you she is still bringing joy to this world! and love your personal podcasts too❤.
Political correctness has always been a thing. 😂 you know at one point it was politically correct to tell black people to use a different everything from white people. Political correctness changes
Omg Joan made me laugh so hard in this one! "Their foreheads look like the statues on Easter island" 😂😂!!😂 Rupaul is one of the most charming, well spoken, talented celebrities out there! Loved this interview.
RuPaul rules 😍 he's phenomenal and a beautiful soul. He's extremely daring, brave, an incredible icon, which I love. ❤RuPaul told his truth which was refreshing and welcoming. Joan River is a joy to watch and listen to. I miss this iconic women Joan River, she was one of the best. Thank you Melissa for sharing your mom with all of us.
I remember watching these for the first time. I love your mum. She was an energy that has never been matched. So funny, so witty, so considerate and caring and cut throat in jest. I have a few signed Joan rivers things. One of the only truly implicitly funny to the bone people. A tortured soul but we loved her.
❤🌈brillant Unfiltered conversation!! And Melissa when I hear Joan say internet , I have to laugh!! She was very smart and head of her time when she did this platform , she was ahead of the podcasts , you tube and streaming services !!!! 👏👏
I remember watching this when it first came out and I’ve watched it about once or twice a year ever since. I just love it so much. I wish it was an hour long. ✨❤️
I was just thinking about how much I miss Joan Rivers. She really knew how to dress people down with love. The older I get the more I appreciate and respect her ability to be direct and hilarious while also being whip smart. I seriously just watched the episode of wife swap you both did together. While watching this I can't help but hear her voice in my head saying "it's so nice to be in bed with a "man" I actually LIKE." XOXO
I used to watch this religiously and cried horribly when Joan passed. An episode with Ru is just what I needed.
I still think about her weekly :(
Joan was the best. Not many people understood her humor, however, her humor was complete satire (and some truth) to her craft.
@@amyparra1881 The best insult comic to have ever lived.
I can totally relate. I miss her too.
I couldn't have said it any better. My hubby is a big berring sea fisherman who would never watch something like fashion police but came to love it. I too cried when she left this world. Can't wait to see her on the flipside.

Except when it came to Palestine..
How I miss Joan Rivers. Her comedy was unmatched by anyone in the business.
So rare these days to hear RuPaul talk about himself. this is such a gem 💎 ugh Joan is so missed 💖
Really? I love rupaul, but he literally has never once told a new story since the 90s lol
I find that endearing about him
But he tells the same stories over and over.... I think that's a reason he doesn't get interviewed much
He has multiple books including a memoir if you want to know more
SO RARE TO HEAR RU TALK ABOUT HIMSELF 😂😂
So much so she's missed!
Ru talks about himself all the time! He made a whole competition show and inserted his experiences LOL. But he is a good storyteller
If you see this......Thank you Melissa. Been really hard finding these episodes.
Thank you, Melissa!
This conversation reminds us of how we need to speak freely, and to be authentic!
In this bleak moment a dose of JOAN is just what I needed!!! Melissa THANK U for sharing these GEMS 😂😂
Mariah fan?
I agree
Seeing Joan and Rupaul warms my heart. I miss her and fashion police. Thanks for posting these Melissa. As my daughter said about me, Joan was one of one.
This video and Bianca Del Rios is pure gold! I will come back to watch these two until the day I die 🖤✨
bianca and joan genius! that unicef cancel donation joke I use it!
I love what Ru says about labels and PC terms. Can we get back to that please?
Tbf I think he was trying to appease Joan…but he is kinda right tranny isn’t so terrible but it’s the intent behind the use. Ru is gay and has free range to use all gay slurs. That’s part of the gay rule book. Just like black people can drop the n word. That’s their word. Etc.
Joan Rivers is one of the best comedians
The disclaimer is the best😂
Like we have to remind people 😂
Love RuPaul! He has obviously worked on his personal/spiritual growth over the years. Constantly evolving.
The man Ru talks about re: her hair and makeup is Mathu Andersen. Keep his name alive. ❤
Mathu will always be one of one
His laugh and everything about Joan is soo beautiful.
I’m loving how the camera crew are cracking up and encouraging Ru to laugh even harder 😂
God ,I miss Joan Rivers so much!

RuPaul is so unbelievably consistent.
What a pleasure to see these interviews uploaded again.
When you see the truth - and known your own so well - it’s hard to speak anything but.

I am so glad these are back on the Internet I watched them as they happened and when they were took off it broke my heart
This was such a treat! 2 really iconic people just having a conversation and cracking each other up.
When they said: the pendulum will go back to the other side....it's happening now!!
THIS
So true
I thought that too. The window closing. Damn Ru is prophetic.
Whenever we have progress they fight to put us back in the shadows. I think the only thing is this time with social media we can find our community's and band together much easier.
I remember watching this and thinking damn I wonder when that will be. Been happening for several years now and just seems to be getting worse.
Love them both! Joan
10:19 “behind the podium. I am in my pajamas” 😭😭😭😭 I love ru.
I used to watch this on this platform. Very comforting late at night.
I just LOVE how openly they were able to talk to each other, and it was probably even more prominent when they were off camera.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for putting these videos out so we can Laugh Hilariously!!!
(No stains on this bed :'-D"" )
Loved her, and love You for sharing Your Lovely Witty Mother with us
Paul’s laugh is so infectious love it. ❤ Joan there will never be another and there will never be humour like it ever !
13:00 it's kind of scary how he already knew...
Are we not tired of repeating history?

it’s def our fault this time tho

It is wonderful Joan is immortalized on celluloid… loved this episode; I think the pair of them do have a special “seeing” and feel like they are in the room. ❤️ (oh and f*#!ing funny as hell they be!)
Thank you Melissa for showing this relaxed, but still funny show of Joan’s
This is giving To Wong Foo when Noxeema and Clara sat next to each other and bonded for the first time.
Thanks Melissa! I needed this tonight.
I'm 20 yo and I love Joan Rivers😘
