The 2024 US Open main draw runs from August 26 - September 8 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 144th time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Serbia's Novak Djokovic and United States' Coco Gauff claimed the men's and women's singles titles. It was Djokovic’s 24th Grand Slam title and Gauff’s first Grand Slam title. This year, at the US Open, we’re set for another spectacular tournament as the world’s best tennis players head to New York. Sinner ormai lo conosciamo tutti, ma anche questo Draper mi piace un sacco e ha dei gran numeri. E se saprà essere costante e migliorarsi ancora un pò, potrà diventare un top five e magari vincere anche uno slam e giocarsela alla pari con Alcaraz e Yannick.

Draper def threw in the towel after the 2nd set.
I think he was just exhausted and couldn't maintain that intensity any longer. Sinner's fitness and resilience just a cut above Draper's at the moment. Was a great match to watch though.
@@WillSavageit’s probably a mix. If Draper had won the first two sets, I doubt he would have played the third set the same way. He was certainly tired, but he was also demoralized after losing the tie breaker. It probably wasn’t a conscious decision to lower the intensity - just the result of feeling like the victory had slipped away.
@@seanr.8499 yep for sure. He’s young though so hopefully he’ll learn from this. He’s fun to watch so I’d like to see him in the latter stages of GS regularly if possible. Sinner just relentless though!
@@WillSavage I think like some others it more a medical issue, he sweats alot more than most when it's humid. And he can't get anything in to replace it quickly enough to make a difference.
Draper is wonderful, soon will be in the first 8-10 of the world
I think Draper has a major title in him in his career, but he wont win multiple, but he will take big scalps along the way.

The match was very intense, not so spectacular though. Very close games, especially in the second set with plenty of deuces and not-converted break points. Overall sinner had an extra gear, Draper did too many double errors in the service as well, more than 10 if I am not mistaken. Also, in the final set Draper was exhausted, couldn't put a fight anymore. In the second set he even threw up a bit

@jooohan-i9o as someone who has played tennis at a high level(you clearly never have) after the serve they are all reactive. You don't know what kind of shot you are getting back until it comes.
