I decided to skip tryouts for this year because of my lack of experience...instead I signed up for my local rec team so I can gain experience and be ready for next year💪
I had baseball workouts today and I hadn't played real baseball in like 5 years and I was very nervous because I had no preparation. When it was my time to bat or field a ground ball I was jittery. But through more practice I can get more comfortable.
Hey coach! High school baseball tryouts have been all week for me. And today they made cuts. During our freshman scrimmage a couple days ago, I was first up to hit. First pitch I get nailed right in the finger and break it. But 2nd pitch with a broken finger, I hit off of him not knowing my finger broke. I think the coaches saw my toughness there haha. The kid got called up to varsity as a freshman because he throws high 80’s. I was out almost half of the tryouts. But i still continued to go and be with the team. Although I couldn’t do much, the coaches said they still see potential and hope that I want to take the opportunity to be on the team. Ive hustled, and gave it my all everyday in tryouts because of you! Thanks coach I think I made it because of my dedication and confidence I got from these videos. ^^that was a lot my bad lol
This gave me so much confidence. I was having scouts look at me in my senior year and they wanted to see more of me before they made a decision and then covid hit so now I gotta walk on. This gave me so much confidence thank you❤️⚾
My high school tryout is on Monday, I’m only a freshman so I’m hoping to make JV EDIT: Conditioning started in August when school started and we only got onto the field in December

That's a great goal! Continue to get bigger, faster, and stronger while simultaneously working on your baseball skills each day! Always remember that there are thousands and thousands of other players with that same goal... so what are YOU going to do to outwork them? Being EXTRAordinary is all about that little extra.

I think Martin has a great answer to this question! I think the biggest thing is to always HAVE FUN! Baseball is a game and it's supposed to be fun, not a life or death situation. Work on the very basic fundamentals of the game and try to incorporate fun competitions and challenges as much as possible. Stations are great! I love seeing younger players play "pepper" to work on their hand-eye coordination too!
I’m just gonna come out and say this, back in 8th grade I went to try out and I was not getting prepared for tryouts and all well I was really nervous to make it, so I go to my tryouts and I give it everything I got. The a week later I get a call, and I was one of the top players they selected to play on the team. That was my first time ever trying out for a competition team and I was selected higher then players that have played comp for years.
I used to play little league but unfortunately I had to stop cause I moved 3,000 miles away from home and where I’m at they don’t have any leagues around here. I’m training to get back into shape and play ball again. I plan on doing tryouts so this will definitely help.

I haven’t played baseball In like 6 years, and this year I wanna try it out and see if I’d still like it but when I told my parents I wanted to sign up they laughed and said that I was too inexperienced now so I came here. Don’t think I’ll ever be able to play again but I know I can still play good, everyone just keeps doubting me.
