I love the way you describe scents; you really know how to set the mood. I do recall you mentioning in a previous video that you would be getting more into perfumery by creating scents and I would love to smell whatever you procure🙂
Hello! :) thanks Jay. Yes, I finished my course last year in February which was a great achievement for me. I rarely finish anything I start so that was fun! I have not really blended many things since finishing my course. i have made two fragrances though, I visited the home of perfumery "Grasse" in the South Of France twice in the last two years and made a fragrance each time I went. Much fun!
You gotta try Serge Lutens Santal de Mysore. It’s similar but amped up and even more beautiful. I am obsessed with it. I baby my two 8ml decants coz I don’t want to start using from my bell jar . I love Serge Lutens. I have many back ups of a few . And a bell jar from France of Santal de Mysore. I recently bought a small 3gram bottle of pure Mysore from Ensar Oud. I’ve always loved Mysore and to have a pure aged decant of this rare and exquisite Mysore is wonderful. I only was able to buy 3grams coz even that small amount was $350. Ensar Oud is extremely expensive but oh my goodness it’s so worth it. If you hate nasty stinky Oud like I do then u must try Ensars beautiful floral ouds. He does have stinky Oud too for sale but I don’t like those. If u want a recommendation of which ones to buy, let me know. But a word of warning, his ouds are pure, the best quality available and very expensive. So for a tiny 1ml you’ll pay hundreds of pounds. But oh it’s worth it if only to experience real amazing quality Oud in all its complex beauty. If u have the cash. I highly recommend Ensar Oud. Not just his ouds but his pure Mysore sandalwood oil and his fragrances. Just amazing.
This is one of my favourites from Lutens, too. Have you tried Lutens's new Fils de Joie (Son of Joy)? It also lists just three notes: Night Blooming Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, and Musk. I presume the perfumer is Sheldrake, but I am not positive.
It reminds me a little bit Al Rehab Oud&Rose. I found there is cocoa note, rose and sandalwood as well. I'm not sure if there are all the notes given on Lutens. Maybe it is more complex then they claimed.
It's totally in the middle for me. It's mainly sandalwood which to me can be either. The rose isn't tooo feminine. It's more exotic and unisex than either masculine/feminine, but that's just my perception. :)
I just got this one today and am so sad I can only smell the sandalwood - maybe because its warm outside when I'm trying it on? And it seems too masculine? I was looking for more rose - maybe if I mix it with one I have that smells like pure rose?
The rose here is more like an accent, it's more about the sandalwood and a bit of chocolate. For a super rosey one try their Fille En Berlin (I think it's called)
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews I have not gotten it yet. Do you think Santal Majascule is masculine, if so, how masculine? It doesn't bother me if a fragrance is somewhat masculine, it really depends on the fragrance.
Mrs Press ahhh sooooon hopefully. Erm... I think it's less masculine than chergui for sure. It's more rough than masculine. It feels completely neutral to me. It's woody woody woody alll the way. It's lovely.
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews I hope so!So it's woody? Lol. I don't think I've ever smelled sandalwood that seemed rough. Are there any other fragrances it could be compared to?
Yes, it's only because of the cacao. It's like it gives the sandalwood a rough edge at first, but then it's lovely. Really kinda woody and gorgeous! I haven't smelled anything I could compare it to. :(

Great review! Who cares if it is 6 years old☺️? Do you have the same opinion about it today?
I do!
Great video. Have you tried SL Ambre Sultan? So delicious for a perfume.

Ooh that sounds cool, I love Ylang so I need to sniff that one out. Thanks for the reccomendation. :)
I read that it means “sandalwood capitalized”
I love your review. How would you compare this to Samsara?
nice review, need to try this, anything by Christopher Sheldrake always peaks my interest.
It's a great one, give it a go! Thanks for stopping by. :)
Santal Majuscule is a VERY buttery sandalwood.
It reminds me a little bit Al Rehab Oud&Rose. I found there is cocoa note, rose and sandalwood as well. I'm not sure if there are all the notes given on Lutens. Maybe it is more complex then they claimed.
I tried this ages ago but I don't remember if I liked it or not! I'm sure I would...I definitely need to get another sample.
Scary opening, amazing dry down. As usual with SL scents hehe.
thank you for your good work
Weclome! :)
Love it , but this one was very weak on me-both longevity and sillage were terrible.
Oh wow really? It works great on me, especially in the cold. I need to try it in the heat but, not sure its very suitable. :)
Would you describe as more feminine or masculine?thanks ☺️

This is amazing:)
Mate, this stuff is immense
I started to blind buy this when I got Chergui, but heard reviews that it was very masculine, so I decided not to...should've bought it 😜
Ohhhhhh I actually prefer it to Chergui now I have it. Heyyyy has your parcel arrived yet? :)
