I was in Maldives with my wife in the honeymoon, listening to this and watching the waves on the sunset....great times, I really miss them.
God. This is one those tracks that just represents the absolute apex of the optimistic society of 2007.
I play trance when I am riding my motorbike. It helps me focus. When I round a bend and open the throttle into some beautiful stretch of road surrounded by beautiful countryside and music like this is playing, it makes me feel so good. Life is amazing.

"Getting Away" is their best track for me, such a unique otherworldly mystical sound that ive yet to hear anything else quite like it,

Tranquility Base were the dogs bollocks. Everyone is wanting a proper OceanLab comeback, and don't get me wrong, I'd love that too, but I'd rather have Above & Beyond produce tunes like this again.
Now this song will forever remind me of the Argentinian coast. They played this gem late at night besides the beach, and the emotion train can't be put into words.

lol what!? It's considered by half the scene that Trance started its heavy decline from 06 onwards. The other half claim it died after 1999 haha. I enjoyed many tracks from 07-09 but this was not even close to being the best years of Trance. It was the 'beginning of the end'... although I feel positive in last few years again

Its because of all the new people going to events. They go there to "Rage" and party. They can give two shits on how a song sounds as long as it hits hard.

because times change and people like you cry about it too much.
artists create music for the majority in order to stay relevant, blame the crowds for the change.
Beckwith from Anjunadeep summed it up perfectly, it's only paraphrasing but along the lines of "An artist has to know that they have a unique sound to them, a sound that the crowd expect, if you start to stray away from that into other genre/sounds, audiences can be unkind. And I know a lot of artists say they want to do this, do that and the other but then what are you, who are you as an artist. Sure I love french house, hard techno but if I make a track like that I make it for myself but if I'm going to release something I make it with the sound I've developed and who I am as a producer, 1 it's what the audience expects and 2 in order to produce quality music."
