This is one of my biggest dreams, to go to ADA. The Layouts are fantastic, I love how they don't plant the stemplants in groups, but mix them. This gives a much lighter look.
I've seen many ADA full tour but this one ... I'm speechless. Why those tanks are so different ?? Why is it so lush, so natural, so perfect ? Someone has to crack the secret for us. Even the top 10 IAPLC are not that perfect ! Thank you MJ for this awesome tour. I have to plan my trip to Japan.
Wow that looks really nice , question is there a reason that almost all scapes even the larger ones use in tank co2 diffusers instead of inline diffusers?
1. Less chance of leaks and maintenance. 2. Others myself included in Mr. Tekashi believed that having the micro CO2 bubbles rubbing against the leaves improved plant health
I feel a little better about my eye for what is good now. I had picked the same favourite tank out of the five which you chose. The barbs which you didn't know the name of are roseline barbs. To get ones of that colour is very difficult because you end up getting some which are born without eyes, so small eyes, and some with other physical defects, plus some which are born with the dull natural colours.
Hello MJ, Finally it’s out thanks for the amazing video 0:29 The list of plants at 0:29 I think is not the aponogeton rigidifolius rather it’s the Cryptocorene Balanse
Hi MJ, great tour of the gallery, really captured its essence of beauty and nature, just wanted to ask is the gallery open throughout the year? And how can the public access this gallery? Thank you!
As for the super clear water surface without the use of scimmers let me add one thing simply derived from observation: my nano without any livestock (no fish, no shrimp, no snails, no substrate, no food, just a couple drops of ferilizers ML1+2 plus ML Carbo daily for the moss and Limnobium) develops oil films also. I am pretty sure that the microorganisms living inside the filter media are causing these films. After cleaning the media (foam and Seachem Matrix) the film stays away for a while before it slowly returns. Therfore I take the oil formation as a sign that the filter media needs to be cleaned again.
I think the fish you forgot the name of are Snakeskin or Rhombo Barbs (Desmopuntius rhomboocellatus). All the color and more of a Tiger Barb without the nippiness.
@@peaoat3608 Too inefficient. Most likely a temperature controlled room and at 22-26C. It's getting really cold in Japan right now so people will be wearing thicker clothing but you can still see several people in lighter clothes in the video.
MJ, it was so great meeting you in person! I hope you enjoyed your Japan trip and that we can meet again somewhere :)
Really nice meeting you buddy! I'm sure we will see each other again someday :)

Or Yugang reactor 😉
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s for aesthetic

Its hereeeee!!!!

Türkçe için çok teşekkür eder , başarılarının devamını dilerim .
amazing tour, this gallery is heaven on earth! your living the dream bro, what was your favorite aquarium there?
Oh man It's hard to choose just one... Maybe the very first one? The big one at the entrance made by Amano
Hello MJ,

I just copied the information from the ADA website ;)
@ maybe I got it wrong 😓😅😃
wow amazing
Nice gallery
Hakkai stone my top 1 hardscape! Hope you copped some from your trip to japan.
Oh man this episode deserves to be followed in portions... its too overwhelming to watch in one pease! Thank you thank you!

Question: Did you use an Polarisation Filter on your camera equipment? Because there is still a lot of mirroring and flairs on the video.
No I didn't use any filter
Please try it, you gonna love it and there will be no more flairs, even if you have sun or bright lights from the back!
@ nice! I’m gonna look into it
cool

nice
The plant growth they achieve is after how many months ?
They're fans of the cardinal tetra :)
What kind of lense do you use for the close up shots of fish?
Sony 90mm
I think the fish you forgot the name of are Snakeskin or Rhombo Barbs (Desmopuntius rhomboocellatus). All the color and more of a Tiger Barb without the nippiness.
Thought it was a gerrman blue ram
1:08 Is that Aegagropila linnaei or some kind moss on the stones? It looks fantastic
Yeah some kind of moss, but which one😂
Is their gallery open? Google says they are only open Sundays but their website says the gallery isn't open at all
Nah only open for events unfortunately
Do these tanks have heaters? I don't see any. How does this work?
Either use heaters in the sumps or filters, or just heat the whole room.
I would bet on heaters built into canister filters. The room doesn't appear to be too warm. Folks wear jackets and sweaters.

The tanks don't have heaters, but the room is definitely heated
Why would a high end place like this use diffusers and not reactors or in-line diffusers??
I think mostly because of aesthetics, and they sell diffusers, but they don't sell reactors/ in-line diffusers
what gear u use?
Sony A7IV
❤😊🎉
Where in Japan is this?
Niigata
surprised how even in 2024, the ADA gallery uses the cold white lighting spectrum.... all green and no focus on reds.
Japanese people take everything to perfection
Ramirezi? 😂 You tried to breed them in your tank mate 😂
German blue rams 😂 That's what I was looking for 😅
Nice. But very overpriced.
Some day I hope to get here. Thanks for sharing!
