I truly enjoy all your videos and even though we do not get such good interfacing and other accessories,I do manage to create wonderful things by following your videos. Thanks Sherill and continue your good work.
You are such a great instructor! I just love how you take your time showing how to make the project, start to finish. Thank you so much. This 72 year old certainly appreciates you and of course Manny!
Very pretty. I would do this project as quilt as you go. Layer backing and batting, then sew strips on top of batting. When you finish sewing on strips, you're done with quilting too.
I've watched many videos on making a table runner and this one just clicks with me! You have the gift of teaching and I love your sweet voice. I'm excited to get sewing!
Great tutorial. I would the quilt as you go method and spray baste the batting and backing together. Also I like to use backing fabric for a companion season (fall on one side, Halloween on the back or fall/Xmas combo. I find green binding goes with all seasons except 4th/memorial day. Then all you have to do is flip it for the next season. Also, your cutting in’s tríate the bomb! There is no fabric waste and very efficient. Another tip I learned from Jordan fabric videos, use a 5 lb. wht. At end of ruler to keep from slipping!
You demonstrate the absolutely best cutting instructions for which I am so grateful for. Especially on how to place & cut fabric at the very start. I have ALWAYS dreaded this part & have made disaster cuts that were frustrating, wasted time & money, & discouraged me greatly. Thanks again for presenting beautiful home dec projects I can make!
thank you ,,,, i just bought some fall jelly rolls was not sure what i was going to do with them,, i will make table runner with matching place mats, my sewing has improved so much with your videos,,your such a joy to watch,
Beautiful place mat. And the table runner on your table with that pitcher is so beautiful too. Thank you for your easy instructions. You are an inspiration for me.
I love this table runner! It looks like so much fun to make with the jelly rolls. This will be my next project and I can’t wait to select the jelly roll. I love the end of the video with all of the Manny’s! 😀
Thank you just found your channel... your a very good teacher.... great tip on the corners... question... you don't use battering in your table runner... thank you
Hi Peggy. I often use cotton batting in my table runners. But on occasion when I don't have time for quilting stitches I will use the method shown in this video. Stay safe. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Cheryl I really like this video. I'm going to make a quilt. Using this method, it's easy and will come together faster than usual quilting. Thank you for this video.

Hi Sherrill just was wondering I purchased one of the large cutting mats you have on your table any suggestions on how to get it to lay flat? Also could you possibly do a tutorial on how to make quilts labels please and thank you.
Hi Cristina. I don't know the brand name, and the internet web site does not exist anymore. I have seen it on other websites. Look up sewing machine tables/furniture. When I first bought mine about 6 years ago it cost $1,400. Now they are selling for around $3,000. Good luck. Stay safe. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Hi. In the past I’ve had a protective mat on my table. But now I want to see the wood. Will the batting protect the table from heat or would I need a double layer or should I cut up the protective mat up to place under the runner
Hi Julie. You could use two layers of cotton batting, or use one layer of cotton batting, and one layer of Insul-Bright. You can purchase it from Joann Fabrics and Crafts. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Thank you. I’ll have a search. I’m in the UK but I think they’ll have something similar here. Im going to have a go at the jelly roll runner and place mats

I thought binding needed to be cut on a bias or is that only when the edges are curved?
Only when edges are curved.
You're correct. You only need to cut on the bias when the edges are curved. 😀
