I'm 63 years old but I have to tell you, .... YOU ROCK SON!!!! All those amenities, golf, spa, etc. Hell ya, great place to stay. LOL ... 'the more you do it, the easier it gets". Reminds me of this cop show I watched today on Netflix about a 19-year-old kid that started stealiing stereos. He was scared as hell at first, but he started getting adrenalin rushes from it then advanced to stealing cars. Hey Taylor, Here in Branson, Missouri they have an ordinance that prohibits overnight parking in parking lots because it takes revenue away from all the local mom and pop rv resorts. But here is what you do. Pull into the back lot of a motel where there is enough room and back into a spot. Preferably with no vehicles next to you. Preferably in the late evening right before dark. Spend the night, next morning, go in and get a free breakfast. The reason I say this is because there is a lot of people that travel in campers, rv's or what-ever and justt want a motel room for the night so there is a lot of campers in motel parking lot, or what happens is people visiting here, get rooked into going to time-share presentati0ons for a 3 day 2 night stay at a local motel with a couple of show tickets. So it isn't uncomon to see a camper, RV or what-ever parked behind a motel. As far as staying at police stations, same thing. Parkin the back of their lot, get up in the morning and go in for free donuts!! LOL.
Thank you Taylor. You are such an honest guy. My husband and I decided that while he'll be doing a truck driving contract for 2 years, this is exactly what we will be living in. You are helping us to prepare ourselves for this event. Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Taylor...FYI ... Behind Capilano Mall in North Vancouver has tons of people living in their RV's full-time and the police don't bother them. Safe area and you can use the mall or Walmart...
Taylor i lived in my truck camper in victoria for one year and just like you i had a few favorite spots to stay. never had an issue. And for people that dont know Victoria is full of cops. I used to heat my camper with just a candle or two.
I love your videos! We are picking up our truck camper this weekend and I've learned so much from you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences.
Your truck and camper is a very nice rig. If you were is a old hand painted school bus, I'm sure you would have a knock at the door by the cops in a few hours of parking. I have a real nice Class A and have parked in the same area's you describe and haven't had a problem. I have found most large stores don't mind if you park in their lot as long as you ask the manager first.
6:33 ......I whole heartedly agree. When I was doing OTR trucking, I always tried to be level or facing uphill, a little. (so I wouldn't roll out of my bunk.)
I’ve never been into vloggers on RUclips. I was watching some RV stuff when your recommendation popped up. I saw one video, then clicked on another, then I went to your channel and watched some more. I subscribed and you are the only vlogger I actually still watch. I really like your videos, they’re not just typical vlogs like you would normally find on RUclips. I also like the fact that you just seem so nice and laid-back, and you’re not afraid to get out there and do what you love. Not only that, but you found a hobby in making RUclips videos. I really enjoy watching you and learning more about RV lifestyle. It must be pretty cool to just wake up, eat, and go drive around. I wouldn’t understand that because I’m just a kid, but I’ve definitely taken in interest in RV’s because of you. Keep it up, man. Also I like that you bought a Chevy. ;)
A friend of mine was an iron worker who worked on steel structures for commercial buildings and, if the job site was too far to commute, he always took his trailer camper to the job site (lived in it during the week) and left it there. he drove the tow vehicle home on the weekends. Good job.
You are doing a great service Taylor. More and more Canadians will be moving into vehicles full time due to displacement caused by the massive influx of the foreign investor. Canada is open and for sale to the highest bidders, land is being bought up at a record pace out pricing homes way past what a typical Canadian can afford. These videos are a great training and prep tool for the future Canadian citizen, who will need a place to live. Thank you.
i juste buy the same camper 3 monthe ago . is a 2006 i love it . im a kiter so i have lote of space fore my gear . 5 kite 2 board end wet end dry suit . i have space tu bring frends and 2 separate place to sleep . i often go kite a cap haterras for 3 weeks so i live my camper on the camping , beford a have a 37 fiftweel at a camping and is wase to big fore traveling . i like my 2 sun panel dont need 120 v for camping . so a lot a new trip to come . thanks for your chanel
Okay, so first of all, you're such a star! Loving your videos so much. Been in the "biz" for many years and I think you should be shopped for a series deal. And hilarious too. What?! Such a natch.. Film actor material if ya ask me! Keep it comin Man!
Thank you so much for showing winter boondocking! I'm going full time this year and I'll be shooting to spend part of the year in a winter environment (love to ski, snowshoe, & sled) so it's helpful to see that others are doing it. :) Also, you have an awesome playful and positive vibe...keep up the good work!
I like when you said it gets to seeing how much you can get away with.Thats the story of my life haha. I'm getting a truck camper very soon I can't wait.
Great Boondocking / Stealth spots i've found, Apartment bld parking lots, hotel parking lots - some with free wifi, residential streets, rest stops, any road off a highway in the middle of no where, construction sites (weekends), least favorite is Walmart as its busy/noisy ,yet does work , Primitive natl forest CG, BLM land anywhere, Natl. forest side roads, or in front of friends or family house, finally a business park or a gas station allowing parking. Arriving late leave early and black out your windows. I don't stay or use any RV parks due to many reasons! I've owned a truck camper since 11/1987
If you don't want your stairs down, bring them up. Get yourself a length of rebar from home depot bend the ends into a hook. All you'd need is about 4 feet, with the door open hook the stairs and pull them up, or even a length of rope would work
@@inavogel626 The doors open outward so it would need some kind of pull system which would then have to be put through the body in some way. Thus turning an arctic fox into a very cold cub.
Enjoying your videos Taylor... Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks ;) On the stairs down issue, why not lean out and pull or fold up your stairs. She whispers, "They'll never know, hehehe." :)
I love that you’re doing this. I live in Calgary Alberta, if you ever come this way let me know. We can do a short video and pass along tips! I just got my camper a year ago and love it!!! Mind you I’m in a travel lite camper, which is smaller than your camper. But all the same. Home on wheels
Taylor Dzaman Yeah the weather here is not ideal. I’ll be putting my camper back on come March and it will stay on the whole summer. So I’m pretty excited to get back out there.
Walmart Parking lots i consider luxury sleeping at with people walking by or the traffic, i was working up at Glacier for my job on the rail lines, sleeping in my buddys travel trailer, and a train goes by No matter what time of day, every 20 mins, that takes getting used to, cause they just blare that horn :D
I don't need to do stealth camping because I have a place to keep my truck and camper and I can 'camp out' there. I have a 30 amp hookup. However, I only do boondocking otherwise. I boondong in the local national forest. The AF990 is good for boondocking. The AF990 has 2 7 gal propane tanks and 59gal of fresh water so one should be good for 2 weeks in the boonies with a little conservation. Boondocking is camping in the sticks where there is no TV, cell phone as well as no water or electricity. I find that I need different types of food when boondocking. I use gas cooking when I don't have electricity. I can start the generator and use the microwave but I don't like this because it isn't efficient. I also have 170 watts of solar but that doesn' t help much because I am lucky to get 1 amp of charging. When I am boondocking in the sticks, I like to propane directly as much as possible.
Great video, I totally agree with and think the exact way as you do when it comes to stealth boondocking. One thing I'd like to add that I'm sure you're aware of but I'm not sure if you mentioned is, I try not to ever stay in the same spot more than one night. But I totally see the appeal with finding the perfect spot that you can stay in multiple nights. You're also right about the excitement of stealth camping being like a game.....kind of a covert like type of mission, it's thrilling.
Taylor Thanks for great info As I just did 6 month test / practice In the south west in my rig Kind of like yours,Before I go full time and you are correct In the mind set as I started 60/40 w state/ national parks-private campgrounds Rest boondocking/stealth ect but great ideas as I am going to go as you full time FREE. Is good Jp Ps safe travels
I look forward to every episode. Another great one! Wish I could do more traveling, but since I'm in the middle of my career, I only have time for the short weekend trips. Looking forward to retiring and doing more of what you're doing now.
Thank you for sharing so much information about booddocking, I always afraid to be booddocking, I always try to find RV park that easy to sleep at night, but after look at your video maybe I will try more booddocking, then I will get use to be 😂
Not sure if it has been mentioned or not but be careful staying at construction sites. In the US in some states (Florida at least), if it a posted construction site, trespassing is a felony. Unfortunately criminals like to take peoples tools, materials, appliances, and even the cooper wire out of the walls. Because the homes are vulnerable a lot of builders have patrols set up with the local police. They might even have an agreement pre set up to arrest anyone found. So if you see a white plastic looking box (normally permits and such are inside), on the outside of that box is a warning telling you it is a construction site and it is a felony to be there. That posted sign is considered your warning and if you see it and stay, it is trespassing after warning, at least here in Florida. That construction sign increases the crime from a misdemeanor to a felony (in Florida at least). If you are on the streets and not walking around off the roadways, and if the streets are accessible by the public then you should be okay on the street areas. Of course if there is a gate, blockade, or signs posted prior to the entrance to the community be careful. Not trying to be rude, negative, or scare you. I just don't want to see you get in any trouble. You seem like a nice guy and the builders might even like that you are there overnight, to keeps others away. But they might not like you being there ether. Safe travels, and keep up the great videos man! -Thomas
Another problem with construction sites and neighborhoods with a lot of homes under construction is debris on the roads -- nails, screws, and other crap that will assault your tires. Sure, builders are SUPPOSED to sweep the streets clear but they often do a poor job of it.
Florida sucks compared to Vancover! All the primo sites in Florida have a dawn to dusk entry but overnite ya have to pay or stealth camp with it's associated hazards and challenges!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I'm reliving my youth watching you. The game of poaching a spot is almost addictive, in Vancouver I poached a spot for months by parking on the street next to a vacant lot. Across the street were condos. People must have thought I lived in the condos and left to work every morning. I even got away with using leveling boards so I could sleep. In the days I'd hang out in Stanley Park, our using the day use parking at beaches and parks. I found any public street on the side where no buildings are built, next to retaining walls and vacant lots. Can you pull those stairs up from inside your camper? That may increase your comfort zone.
also by driving in later and staying in residential neighborhoods you don't take up the peoples preferred parking spots as they are already home from work.
Taylor nice video. Good hints there. Old farm boy here. The idea of boondocking near a city seems odd to me or perhaps uncomfortable. I’m sure I’ll get over it.
My question is what do you do for internet or if you want to watch movies another good place to Boondock apartment complexes on the outside especially if they have an area where cars can park on the outside of the apartment complex nobody bothers you less if you have a generator you can run it
How does the dually handle on snow and slick roads? I have a crewcab dually with aluminum flatbed and 9.5' camper. aluminum sides on flatbed fold up and lock, and it gives you almost 2'x8' of extra storage on each side. Pickup is a 4WD, but I haven't used it in the snow since putting a dually rear end under it. Also, great video!
THANKS FOR THE TIPS I bet the Construction guys would welcome you to stay at night once you told them who you are cause you could be there watchman for the nights your there Taylor Dzaman
what do you think of Host Mammoth truck campers? being nosey....what did you have to shell out for you Arctic Fox....do you have any problems with mold?....do you have any solar panels up top? love your work....just need more.....im enjoying your adventures as much as you.....
I think people object less to a truck camper than they do a "stealth Van". When someone is viewed as trying to be sneaky, it raises red flags. Also having a well kept vehicle does not scream bum.

We always stayed in the parking lot of hospitals. We'd find a place out of the way in the lot.

Helpful tips on finding a spot for the night. Thanks for sharing
Really enjoyed this video , good information and very realistic. Upbeat and encouraging. Lots of good comments too. Thank you .
Thank you for watching !
A camera on your roof would be great for seeing when its good to come out of your camper

If you don't mind -35 temperature
Timmins is a nice little town
That was a great video! Waiting on my dually so I can do some adventures.
I would avoid construction sites due to the errant nail, fastener, staple, etc that my tires wouldn't appreciate.

HAHA! I really like your new sticker. It makes me want to put something like that on my RV.

A night at Wall Mart is perfect to resupply which Wall Mart counts on, and most people do that. Also campers can park almost anywhere!!
Love your videos and the positive outlook you have. Glad to see your name on the truck camper. Great idea to advertise your business on RUclips. 😁💕✌👏
I've had a lot of success with Park and Ride lots.
You do well. Personally I would go more the van root but to each his own.
Nice chevy truck and RV.
Thats really cool.

You said it, we actually did it. We slept at a police station. Couple of times in a car dealership. That was not as nice due to all the lights.
Great video I am remodeling a 1972 caveman camper and planing to hit the road 👍
nice camper I plan on getting one next summer ! I do like the Artic Fox !!

good advice, I also think he said he just completely avoids any signs.
For sure, great advice. 😁 They'll blame you if something comes up missing, and you just happen to be catching your zzzz's
SHOULD GO SEE THE CONTRACTORS THEY WOULD PROBABLY WELCOME YOU AS A WATCHMAN FOR THE NIGHT.
Keep in mind - He's in Canada....
I just started watching your videos today... Very enjoyable and informative. Thank you!
You should look into an app called levelmatepro it makes boondocking a breeze. You can check level before you ever get out of the truck.
Thx. again for another great video Taylor!
Enjoyed watching your video today! Hugs, MommaFaye
Enjoyed the video! Keep it up!

Great job once again TD!
Buy another truck camper and make more of these great videos Taylor. We miss you
You have to find a dump station eventually.... where do you go to dump... and fill with water?
Well . I can just say we love your life and planning to do the same . I hope we meet in travels.
I like what you do 🤗👍🏼
I found a hospital parking lot for stealth camping. No problems yet. Safe travels
I did the the hospital parking many nights. Never a problem. Just stay out of hospital. They're the worst place to be for viruses and colds.
also by driving in later and staying in residential neighborhoods you don't take up the peoples preferred parking spots as they are already home from work.
You have a great positive energy, happy belated Birthday and Merry Christmas, keep up the good work!
Taylor nice video. Good hints there. Old farm boy here. The idea of boondocking near a city seems odd to me or perhaps uncomfortable. I’m sure I’ll get over it.
another good video thanks man
Nice Life n I enjoy your channel. Nice to know you. Me from Surabaya, Indonesia. 👍
Just like your videos.
Thank you for posting!
Very informative, thank you.😊
Great video
I think you're awesome Taylor.

Hotel parking lots is a thumbs up !!!!!
You are cool my friend.
I like your dually with regular cab. I never see that set up.
Merry Christmas and good luck.
Hello Taylor😎👍
Greetings from the CNMI buddy...
what do you think of Host Mammoth truck campers? being nosey....what did you have to shell out for you Arctic Fox....do you have any problems with mold?....do you have any solar panels up top? love your work....just need more.....im enjoying your adventures as much as you.....
I own a Mammoth 11’6” from Host on a one ton dually. It rocks!
Ski Resorts are good year round
Ok, do you carry an extra battery, what I found when dry camping is my batteries go dead, not always but sometimes. .
You have the life I want !
Great info!
Dude steps up or down still looks the same...alot is just in you're head...but you're right do avoid issue's.🤖
I think people object less to a truck camper than they do a "stealth Van".
When someone is viewed as trying to be sneaky, it raises red flags.
Also having a well kept vehicle does not scream bum.
Can't swing a new diesel dually and arctic fox camper for a $1,000 a month. Figure $70k for truck and $40k to $60k for quality 4 season truck camper.
Trucks have gotten way out of control. That camper cost less in the United States. Newer versions have great dry bathrooms.
Or you could check the prices and not speculate
Love it 👍
