I still don't have a watch with the Selita 330 but have the 500 or 550, this is very interesting. I like the new design & the GMT movement Rob. Great content & review as always Rob.
Thank you for another excellent review Rob...Monta just makes such a solid watch...I definitely need to think about saving up for one for one of their watches :)
Good review and I'm tempted by this watch. However there looks like there's some dust on the watch face. This was also highlighted in another review of a Monta watch.
E Larson getting a monta in the uk with the import taxes and vat makes these ridiculously expensive then add to the fact I can’t go to a shop to take a look , monta really need to expand
Great size watch. This or the Christopher Ward GMT if you were buying it for the collection? I keep asking myself when will Seiko make a GMT diver for the average guy!
4:45 watch snob alert. My gold g-shock, aka work beater. Lol, I kid Rob. I want a Triumph with fully applied indices and adjustable clasp. I would gladly pay the difference Monta would need to charge for this.
We joke about watch snob, but to a certain extend we all kinda are at whatever level we are at. I can say I am not a “snob” but I wear $500 and up watches these days. Does that make me a snob? Maybe it does? I still see merit in the other watches, but I don’t wear them. This hobby escalated fast.
@@RandomRobReviews agreed. I don't see myself as a snob either but gravitate towards the mid range. If I could afford to own only Rolex tier watches I would probably own only those. Hard to go back down the ladder once you've climbed it.
I just received my Monta Noble today. I was eager to open it and try it on. Then was a bit disappointed, the watch is pretty small and light and has a cheap feel about it. The band is very flimsy and feels cheap and the case itself is so so but definitely doesn't warrant all the hype. The micro adjustments on the band slip, so when you adjust them and wear the watch then take it off they slip back out and you have to adjust it again before you wear it. Also the power reserve is only a few hours, I can wear it all day then take it off before bed and in the morning it has stopped and I have to re-set it. Over all its probably on par with your average run of the mill everyday watch you can buy at one of those kiosks in the middle of the mall. It's nothing special and definitely not worth the price point.
I see a Problem with the clasp the arch is not enough and it comes out one Link. I love Monta and want to buy one but that put me off because that much money for a mistake like that is ridiculous.
I would really love to own the No-Date Oceanking with the red seconds, but my main issue with Monta is their logo. The non-applied logo and the overall design of said logo just looks...”cheap”. It creates a weird clash, where you can clearly see it’s a quality piece, but has some “cheap” looking elements.
Too expensive for a sellita. They're not very good movements. It wouldn't surprise me if the hack lever has come lose or broken. Better off getting a Longines conquest classic. At least they're ETA.
The Brushing on the Bezel is just Gorgeous!
One of the best I have seen

Monta is on point . They just keep bringing out great quality watches.

If at some point you can handle one you won’t be disappointed
They do a great job on the box/packaging too if i recall from the Triumph.
Super nice. They only sent me the watch for this one.
Definitely a beautiful watch man. If they’d get rid of those ugly painted numerals on the triumph I’d definitely buy one!

Is that the perfect daily wearer? Great vid Robert
For me no, but for many it could be.
Title - What more could I want?
Drilled lugs...
Haha. I figured I would get a list in the comments. Can’t wait to read them all.
Amateur
Thanks for the review! For this price you could also buy a Tudor 1926.

I know what I'd rather have and it wouldn't be the Tudor.
The best microbrand on the market.
I knew the Triumph would look better without the numbers
Niceee
Very cool that the side profile makes it looks lug less. Price point is a bit too high for me, but cool nonetheless.
They really do feel and look premium. I am certain Monta will continue to grown and solidify their role in the watch world
Prefer my black triumph. Helps that I also have the Skyquest 😅

I perfer this, the Christopher ward logo is ugly imo
Such a compelling watch.
What happens to your green monta triumph?
I don’t keep much.
Just looked at Sellitas website - they say all the members of the SW-300 family of moments are “stop seconds devices”. I guess that means hacking.
Yeah. Something is up with this prototype sample.

Really nice watches. Prohibitive cost outside the USA with import duty. European roadshow perhaps Monta?
Need to reform that tax. At least for watches, right? Lol
For a second there, I thought your Gshock was the solid gold 70k version...
Haha, I would never do that even if I could
I want a real GMT with an independent hour hand, that is my demand! ;)
Not too many are pins that’s for sure.
@Thatcher Colson WTF, spam? 🤦♂️
I dig it. Nice dimension on the watch. Kinda pricey for what it is though.
I stay with my Tag Heuer Aquaracer GMT.
If that GMT hand wasn't folded I would totally agree with you. The GMT hand fold kills the watch for me. Once you see it you can't unsee it.

A rolex
Boom, mic drop. 😂
I have a Monta Triumph, great watch, but any GMT watch that doesn't have an hour jump hand is of no interest to me!

Way too expensive..

I don't like the placement of the GMT numbers. Not impressed with this one. For the price I think you could do much better.
