Hi, wow what an awesome place to spend the winters.
What are the rules for non resident fishing and shellfish gathering?

Hey Steve, thanks for watching and supporting our channel. We love visiting Baja and return yearly since we live so close in Los Angeles. No need for a fishing license if fishing from shore.

Traveling to Baja in the near future not sure of what to purchase camper or trailer. I have a GMC 2500HD 6.0 Rwd . Which is best and do you need 4wd?

I personally prefer a travel trailer. This allows us to set up camp and drive into town for supplies or dinner without having a break down. Being able to disconnect your tow vehicle is very convenient. No need for four-wheel-drive unless you plan to go off the beaten path. All the camping locations on our channel don’t require four-wheel-drive. Let me know if you have any questions, cheers!

Any thoughts on how I might find and join others who travel from the north to this area of Baja?

Hi Steven, thank you for watching and supporting our channel. Here are my suggestions…
      1. Do your research on RUclips and get familiar with areas you would like to visit.
      2. Download the Campendium and iOverlander app. To your smartphone. This will help you plan out your trip and give you ideas as to where to camp. If you are unsure the distance between two destinations just plug them in to Google maps and it will tell you the distance and estimated driving time between locations .
      3. I suggest joining two Facebook groups. Talk Baja and Safe Camping in Baja Mexico. Here you can do more research and ask questions. Both groups are run by the same person, an American man married to a Mexican woman who has lived in Baja for quite a while.
You may be able to join a caravan, but it’s really easy to get around Baja as there is just two main roads, one on the Pacific side and one on the sea of Cortez side. I hope this helps, if you have any other questions, please reach out.
