For me it’s more like an old friend dropping in and reminding me of the great things Spain has to offer, but then the soothing music turns a bit sombre as I think about desertification in Spain. Also, the fact that the food is vegetarian means that the recipes are largely repetitive, which, mixed with the samey tone, is a bit uncanny. Most importantly, I get reminded that I don’t have time to watch this peaceful little cooking channel because I have so much work to do 😭
Hello Albert, from Seattle Washington USA… I love your channel. I’ve been watching your videos for several years now, and I recommend it to friends. The way you film the videos, along with your soothing voice, and expert tips on making each dish… I really appreciate all the effort you put into your work. You do an excellent job! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 But what I really wanted to say is that I’ve been watching all the news about the horrible flash floods in Spain. It made me think of you. I hope wherever you are, you are safe. The news images are just horrifying. My heart breaks for all the people affected. Best wishes, Claudia
Having Polish Roots I love potatoes as well🥔😉. P.S. We heard about the floods in Valencia Spain , we pray for you 🙏hope that you and your family is well❤
My partner and our daughter are allergic to nightshades, so recipes without tomatoes or peppers are very welcome (I can always just leave the paprika out). your willingness to not use those ingredients is partly why I recently subscribed to your channel. Thank you.
I'm headed back to Spain in 2 weeks; so sad about the flooding. A year’s worth of rain fell in just eight hours around Valencia, Spain’s third most populous city, fueling the worst natural disaster in the country’s modern history. I think I've had this dish before but I'm not sure because my Spanish isn't that good. All of the food in Spain is good thought! Bacalao!!! I'll make this in memory of the at least 159 that died, and so many others that lost their homes and loved ones.
I do a happy dance whenever you have a Spanish potato recipe! xx 💃 I think you did something similar a few months back with almonds? Esto se ve delicioso, gracias por la receta, Albert.
Albert: Delicious... as are ALL of your potato dishes. A bit "detailed" (messy) for me, so I'll have someone else make it. 😋 Thanks again, and have a great weekend. (Fan from San Francisco, California.) *!!~
Wow... hi Albert ❤❤❤ This was some of the best stuff I have seen food wise. My mouth was literally watering... ❤❤❤🎉 Thank you so much! I wish you a great weekend, Happy Halloween and enjoy your evening ❤❤❤
Thanks for this. Looks fantastic. I can't help but think that this same preparation would be great for long beans, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, turnips and a host of other veggies. What do you think? Spanish or not, I think it would be great to experiment.
I love your channel Albert, and I was hoping to make a request. Since holidays are coming up, which of your delicious recipes would do well in "pot luck , everyone bring something" type of gatherings...thanks.. you are a great teacher❤
This recipe looks outstanding! I'll definitely make this! I have one humble request: Can you post a recipe that doesn't require onions and garlic? It sounds sacrilegious to ask for this because those are some of the best ingredients to add to most dishes, but I cook for someone special who cannot eat them. So, Albert, if you have any ideas, I'd truly appreciate it! 💕😘
Using bread looks like a great way to thicken a sauce. I'll bet originally it was a way to use up stale bread. I can think of dozens of ways to use that sauce, not just for potatoes.
This looks nice and easy! Thank you for another potato recipe since they're so easy and accessible to make at home. I noticed that foodgawker is back (which is how I found out about your website and channel) - does it make a difference to the number of people who watch or go on your blog?
Thank you i often make your recipes. I sometimes make it on friday before sunset as i keep the Biblical Sabbath and and found that the dishes often gain flavour the next day. This is a fantastic recipe would it be ok to make the day before eating it and just heat up the next day esp with the fried potatoes.?
never understood why cultures fry foods in oil until crispy... then douse them in sauce to make them soggy... might as well just pan sear them, boil them or roast them and save yourself tons of fat can calories!
I comment so much but is impossible not to this recipe es un espectáculo muy rico riquísimo I will do it again I eat it all by myself 🤦♀️muchas gracias por compartir estás delicias de recetas
When you appear it’s like an old friend dropping in 😊
Oh, God, I feel EXACTLY the same. So calming, the man. And ALWAYS great recipes!

You can always omit the garlic and onion and use other neutral flavors to substitute :) Much love
@SpainonaFork Thanks for your reply. With neutral flavors substituted, it will turn out bland. I'll experiment more. Thanks again. 👍
You r reale good

Sounds great! Much love :)

Well, when I was visiting Seville, they sure took pains to hide the good cuisine from me. I was reduced to surviving on tapas and wine.
If you step away from the tourist areas, that is where you get the best food :) Much love!
Fabulous! It’s a shame that we americans have access to only five or six varieties of potato (in my grocery stores, anyway) what a backward country!
"Or any other potatoes..." because if you can find Yukon Gold potatoes in Spain, I'll give you a Nobel prize. Nice recipe, though!😂
