The observation's probably obvious, but I like how the theme that plays when 13 is regenerating shares the same leitmotif as "Thirteen" (13's theme), "You Really Need to Get Out of Those Clothes" (from The Woman Who Fell To Earth), and probably other tracks. Makes the regeneration feel more special.
Just a little note for anybody listening through regular speakers/headphones - you might notice the mix is a wee bit 'tinny'. Alas, there were some last minute issues sorting the mix for this suite, and I didn't have the time to resolve the higher-frequency prominence. Nonetheless, I hope it still sounds reasonably comfortable! Thank you all for the support and lovely comments so far - it's been a pleasure making these suites and sharing our enjoyment for Akinola's musical era.
You wouldn't by any chance be willing to post the parts of this suite as individual songs for all the parts you marked out? Because while this is gorgeous, for example, I'd just like to be able to listen to Guardians of The Edge on it's own.
@@0lifeisaparadox0 Heya, I've contemplated this before with these suites, but I've opted against it for a couple reasons: - I write these arrangements as the suites, so this compilation is how I transcribed it 1:1; it'd require a fair bit of time to cut it up nicely! - Whilst these are recreations, they aren't intended as replacements for Akinola's work - and as these Specials are expected to have an official OST release soon, with the individual tracks (or mini-suites), I don't wish to tread on the toes of folks supporting the real deal...! Thank you though, I hope that's understandable!
@@WhoviVortex the "tinny" bits in the cyberman march absolutley adds to that whole feeling of the monster. and unexpected error turned into something great. atleast for this listener
"Don't Make me Ask Twice" and "Gold Star and a Sticker" are just perfect for the Masterful Doctor, its such a shame it was so brief but the Master was terrifying at that point. Like the regeneration had improved him, made him WORSE. Sacha really nailed it, and the music was perfect
This video right here was literally one of the major reasons I was looking forward to this episode releasing. These are always so well done and this is no exception!
Along with Thirteen's theme and the music during Resolution when Ryan is trying to save his dad, the music from 40:04 onwards is gorgeous, this is Segun Akanola's shining moments. Those last scenes have a very old school Who theme, mixes of classic and new who, much in the way this episode does. He really stepped it up for this final episode
I loved Doctor Who: The Power of the Doctor and its music and you did a brilliant arrangement of this special. I love how you included the 13th Doctor’s regeneration on video. The 13th Doctor’s theme works well during her regeneration scene and the last scene of the 13th Doctor. Segun - you are a brilliant Doctor Who composer and I hope the next composer for Doctor Who will be spectacular too. I hope Segun Akinola will release the music for this year’s 3 specials soon.
"Now Braveheart" and "We're Ace" are gorgeous pieces of music. Incredible job. Edit: they sound more emotional here than on the official release! Amazing job
Ah! Thank you!!! I was waiting for this!!! The soundtrack was a total blast for the Centenary!!! I enjoyed so much. Segun really really made an amazing work and that final scene with that score was beautiful! And of course, your arrangements are awesome!!
I've love your musical arrangements and this is just as stella as every other suite you've made. Good job. Listening to this has just give me an idea, got a little challenge for you if you choose to accept it. On RUclips there is a version of the Doomsday Dalek/Cyber fight with no music on it, what I wanna know is can you make a Segun style score for that scene which pairs with the scene brilliantly, is epic, and combines motifs from Akinola's Dalek and Cybermen themes?
great tracks ive been really enjoying your arrangements ( a few of my favs being cybermasters, forced regeneration, the grand serpent and tag, you're it ) i am curious if there free to use ( with credit ofc ) as ive been working on a doctor who fan series ( still in the process of making the sets ) and id be interested in using them
Jodie is my favorite female Doctor. Having her in and seeing her entire run was amazing and the film............Damn it was beyond epic "Power of the Doctor was Gold Level" and the elements all woven together just brilliant with the core. And i felt so lucky she was MY DOCTOR. she taught me about family so much it got etched onto me. I Miss Her . Thank you doctor ♥🎧
As announced recently by Segun Akinola, the Official Soundtrack for this episode will be available to stream on Dec 16th... It should be available on Apple Music then 🙏
Everything here's been arranged in just one suite, I'm afraid... however, the official soundtrack for this episode (and the other 13th Doctor Specials) is going live in December. I'm sure it'll be an individual track on there! (You can find more info of the release date on Segun Akinola's socials)
I can't get over how good this entire suite is. It makes the shop to Tesco more interesting.
Highest compliment I can get - thanks!

"Tag, you're it" is such a perfect line for Jodie's Doctor ❤ love that your arrangement for her is titled that 😊

Honestly stunning. The turn around of these covers too is so fast and such great quality!
I CANNOT wait to have time for this! Curse my long hours working at the moment
Amazing! Had a tear in my eye towards the end.👏❤️😪
Well. You're obviously one of the more determined of us...
So glad Jodie got a great episode send off. Beautiful arrangement. 😁
Magnificent, as always!
HOW did you manage to do it this well? I don't know, but big props to you man! You've earned a subscriber! 😃
Need the soundtrack for the scene where the Master teleports back into his TARDIS. The theme is so quite but so good.
That'll hopefully be on the official OST! (Releasing December 16th)

I'd love to see someone do a dub of the last part of "Where there's hope..." over 13s regeneration scene. It'd be perfect!
I wish this was actually on Apple Music. Yes I live in the uk, just in case any American who sees this comment is confused
As announced recently by Segun Akinola, the Official Soundtrack for this episode will be available to stream on Dec 16th... It should be available on Apple Music then 🙏
Okay. Also, great job on adding the regeneration scene at the end.
Could you do a Symphony for the cybermen please
Possibly in the near future, but I'm afraid this *is* my last arrangement for now!
Is We Are Your CyberMasters a separate song? Like on it's own upload?
