Marvel is on quite the roll of putting out omni's of licensed characters Rom,The Micronauts and Godzilla now if DC would finally do an omni of Atari Force I would be really happy
@@Lensyoutube DC doesn’t have the rights of course. Dynamite was supposed to do collections of Atari Force when they had the license and solicited a trade of the mini issues but it never materialized and they never explained what happened.
My first Micronauts was number 1 in 1979 (i think). The cover blew me away. It was in the newsagents where I did a paper round ... he let me have it and took the money off my round later.
I really hope Marvel see reason and put the X-Men Micronauts mini in the 3rd volume. It's so baffling to leave it out and would be such a shame not to have these collections be complete.
@@collectingmemoriesytallegedly it was possibly more a Disney decision. They didn’t want to,include issue 4 where Xavier goes evil and mind assaults one of the other characters so it was too much like SA for their liking. I had to buy a set of the mini to make sure I get everything. But I still don’t know where it takes place in the timeline.
Thats how i discovered the X-Men was in that Micronauts crossover when i was a kid and then saw them on Spider-Man and his amazing friends on that following Saturday morning 👀❤️
@yunoyuluvit i haven't read the issues but saw people online saying goodbye there's a scene where Xavier mindprobes someone and it's played out like a sexual assault, so it's probably that.
I’m an old man and started collecting comics in the early 80s so my first issue was issue #1. I can’t wait to revisit these stories from long ago. Cause I sure can’t remember them! 😁
My first experience with Micronauts was when my older brother had the toys when we were kids. My first adult interaction was buying omnibus vol 1 based on your glowing recommendations.
Personally, I think the cover with Marionette on the right stands out the best. Rather than the two-tone pink & white and blue & red colors for the backgrounds on the other two covers, I like that the 3rd cover is almost a full colored cover. My first Micronauts comic was The New Voyages #1. Got a lot of them on eBay some years back and they were all from the second series.
I got the first Micronauts omnibus immediately when it got released, because I loved Rom and I love Bill Mantlo's writing, and boy did it deliver. So I can't wait to read this second volume. My first comic was Batman No Man's Land, those really old trades from way back when. Still have em, still love em.
The first Micronaut comic is the recent Omnibus Vol 1 which I'm currently 1/3 in and enjoying very much! Looking fwd to picking up Vol 2 soon! Reading the series finally for the first time is bringing back memories of seeing the ads as a kid and i think even having a toy or two (hydrocopter)!
Although I can't say for certain what my first issue of Micronauts was, because I honestly do not remember in detail, what I do remember about the Micronauts was the in-house ad for the Michael Golden drawn issue 7 cover with the Micronauts fighting Man-Thing, which still holds up as one of my favorite covers of all times, Golden was one of Marvels best cover artist in that era and that cover is the best example of why that was.
I love your review, my first Micronauts was issue number 1. my mother also bought me a lot of the action figures. but the first issue was my beginning.
My first Micronauts comic was the first issue in the Omnibus Vol. 1, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the series but ended up devouring it! I did technically see a few of the Micronauts characters in an issue of Peter David’s Genis-Vell Captain Marvel run, but not sure if that counts 👀
My first Micronauts comic was issue #2. It was a very hard title to find here in Australia until around issue #11 so I had to mail away to the US for back issues! I went with the Golden and Guice covers for omni volume one and the Golden cover for volume two but it was another tough choice over those fantastic Layton and Kane covers. Thanks Omar!
Thanks for the overview. My first Micronauts comic was issue #1, bought off the comics spinner rack upon release. I continued to buy it for a while, but not until the end of the series. I have the first omnibus, which I love.
I'm starting a comic collection now but I was never big into them previously. I did buy The Killing Joke from the PX on Okinawa back when I was in the Marines in the 90s so I guess that was my first comic.
The first Micronauts issue I read was actually a facisimile of issue #1 I found at my local comic store, and I thought that I might as well check out a series I'd never really thought about before, and it ending up being absolutely stellar! Very glad they're reprinting all these old Hasbro comics.
Micronauts 31 was my first issue of Micronauts, I remember seeing it on a newsstand and thinking it looked interesting, if I remember correctly it was a terrible issue to jump on with as I had no idea what was going on but I kept picking up issues until it went to a direct market only book making it impossible to get in my part of Australia at the time, I even managed to track down a few back issues but there was plenty I hadn't read in the first omnibus and I guess that will be the case in the second omnibus as well, I did really enjoy catching up with the characters again in The Micronauts: The New Voyages and X-Men and the Micronauts.
First Micronauts comic was issue 2. The cover looked so wild - I was instantly hooked! Had to seek out issue 1 through used book stores! Not that easy back then!
My first Micronauts was probably 37. I was a huge Nightcrawler fan and his appearance drew me in. Then i started tracking down all the old issues and digging them.
Micronauts 19 with the mutated Bug back in 1980. A comic reading buddy let me read the first 10 issues. I was hooked and bought the entire first series as they came out.
My first issue was Micronauts #19. I remember reading this and just being blown away by the characters and lore. I ended up tracking down the whole series and the sequel series.
Back in the day my first issue of Micronauts was #3 and it took me forever to find issues 1 & 2, which I finally got at my first local comic shop that opened, though I stared at #1 on the wall for a very long time & many visits until I saved up the money to buy it. I'd love to have the Bob Layton covered Omnibus!😮
My first Micronauts conic was Volume 1 #13. I enjoyed it but had a limited comic budget as a kid so I didn't buy any others until many years later on the secondary market. But I enjoyed Omnibus One. The art pops in that format and I've always enjoyed Bill Mantlo's writing style!
First comic ever was Avengers 164 "To Fall By Treachery!" The cover still takes me back! My first Micronauts was #13-- after reading the first 12 at my friend's house.
My first Micronauts comic was actually the first Omnibus volume. When I started collecting comics in the early 90's, I didn't even know it was a comic line other than seeing X-men/Micronauts in back issue order forms in the back of comics at the time. I thought it was weird they were crossing over with toys! Glad I got the first omnibus, though. It was a fun read.
My first Micronauts comic was the first omnibus, I don't think it was ever released here when I was a kid or maybe I missed it but it's the kind of comic I would have loved back then and I still like a lot today.
I don't have any Micronauts issues, but I've been really interested in it after seeing these omnis come out. I think the earliest Marvel comic I can remember buying is Fantastic Four from the Walt Simonson era. Maybe issue 337 or somewhere around there. I bought it from a grocery store magazine rack in South Fork, Colorado. :) Grocery stores and Waldenbooks played a big part in me discovering comics as a kid.
Never read Micronaughts but would love to. Some of my first Marvel comics were the Roger Stern and JMS run way back in 2007 but my first collected editions and one I still have is Dark Knight Returns in a trade Paperback. My mom brought it for me and got me into this incredible hobby.:-)
My first Micronauts comic was actually the first omnibus. I was a 90s reader so it was one of those books I'd always heard about but never got a chance to read. So I had to get these omnis. I'm still reading it and I love it.
My second micronauts omnibus is already pre ordered from cgn. I still have most of these original single issues but great to have this in hardcover. Never thought this would ever come out.
My first Micronauts comic was #1. I had both Baron Karza and Acroyear toys as a teen. No idea what happened to Acroyear, but Karza still resides at my mom’s house. The figure’s limbs attached via magnets, and you could swap them out, even making him a centaur. It was such a cool idea I’m surprised more toys didn’t use it.
This omnibus is arriving in a week or so for me, I'd never read Micronauts before Omni 1 so this is a real adventure for me. I'm getting the Bob Layton cover, the Gil Kane one is nice too but the discount on that one was less at dcbs.
My first Marvel Comic was actually Thor #1 by Jason Aaron. Yea I know I'm a newgen😅. But I have been enjoying the beautiful world of comics ever since.
Even though I read issue 1 from someone who owned it … the first issue that I bought was issue #7 where Man Thing showed up . Micronauts amongst other Marvel titles were hard to find in my hometown in Puerto Rico .
As a kid the only micronauts issues that came to my end of australia was the mini series with the x-men. Never saw the title again until you reviewed the first omnibus. I would love a copy, but the postage would be terrible
I guess my first comic was a random issue of the Hickman's Avengers run, today he is probably my favorite writer and i already saw he saying that The Micronauts was one of his favorite Marvel comics so i really want to take a look at it
My first Micronauts comic was issue #1. I got cause it was a number 1. I don't remember having any other issues when I was young. I definitely had more ROM.
My first Micronauts comic was issue 16 with the FF. It took me years to discover what issue it was because it was coverless comic at my Dad's barber. Even later, I'd discover it was pre-AF! work from Howard Chaykin, but I can understand why he doesn't acknowledge it.
Never read Micronauts, but would LOVE to snag one of these! My first ever comic was Uncanny X-Men #281 "Desperate Alliances!" Absolutely LOVED Storm, Jean Grey and Colossus fighting for their lives kn the cover!!!
Issue 1 Facsimile was the first Micronauts comic I read. But the first comic was the free one we got in Public School, Spider-man and the Power Pack dealing with child molestation.
Micronauts #1 was my 1st. issue. Pretty sure the entire run is boxed up in storage. They would be pretty beat up from all the reading. I want omni's of all the Marvel Silver and Bronze ages . Make Mine Marvel!
I actually had the toys before I read the comics. So my first Micronaut was Baron Karza with Horse (Andromeda).. first Marvel Comic was Uncanny X-Men #173. I didn't read the Micronauts comics until my teenage years when I would find back issues in the dollar bin.
My first Micronauts was the first omnibus! I’m half way through and I’m really enjoying it!
Thanks for the review as always, great video 😊

I think it's a Hasbro decision to not include it, not a Marvel one, and since the own Micronauts, they get to call the shots, unfortunately.

Amazing overview as always. Looking forward to vol 3. My first Micronauts comic was omnibus vol 1 and I loved it
Great review as always. I picked up the Micronauts special editions 2&3 a couple years ago as my first intro to Micronauts
Absolutely beautiful presentation. My first Micronaut issue was #6 of Volume 2. They were Soooo weird!
I got the first Micronauts omnibus immediately when it got released, because I loved Rom and I love Bill Mantlo's writing, and boy did it deliver. So I can't wait to read this second volume.
