20:21 To answer to that question: because Japan, basically. The average Japanese adult actually *hates* adult life and this is ingrained on a social level there. Being an adult equates reaching the lowest point of their life where there is nothing to look after. No ambitions, no goals and no time to enjoy life itself, and this is mostly their work culture's fault, where they are expected to become another cog in the machine for the rest of their life. As a result, highschool/teenage life is glorified more than in other countries, so anime capitalizes on this sentiment and make a bunch of anime tugging at the strings of teenage nostalgia and longing for those times. This goes as far back as Evangelion, perhaps even further back, so it is not exclusive to slice of life either.

Weird how people say they don't like anime despite there being literal thousands of different topics they can watch about, then proceeded to say Riverdale is a good show.
The guy on top right is so clueless about the Vegeta character development… Vegeta went from a genocidal maniac to a father who can act normally. He wasn’t complaining at all he was just not talking much or smiling. He just left when people tried to force them to dance which in the past he might have literally killed them for being annoying. Both Bulma and Trunks were happy that Vegeta was able to stay around them for so long.

anime filler is really only a thing in long running animes like one piece or naruto. They get too close to the manga and have to slow it down. Thats why demon slayer and attack on titan have been so good. They have been doing seasons instead of on going. They have a dedicated section of the manga that they are set on doing for the season. Shorter animes do not typically have filler at least in my experience and if they do its incredibly minor because their respective mangas are done. Exceptions might be original animes without mangas like anything studio trigger makes I.E: Gurren Lagann, Kill La Kill, or Darling in the Franxxx
Part of me wishes one piece did seasons cause the seasons themselves would just be absolutely outstanding especially with out great the manga is right now and has been. One Piece has bad pacing due to how close they are to the manga and they have barely done filler in years. Maybe a few episodes.
Im on the same boat as you about one piece. Its a fantasy of mine imagining one piece being a seasonal anime. The anime is already amazing as it is, but just think if Oda had more time to write and plan his story, or if the studio was given more time to animate this giant masterpiece. Then they would not drag on so much. The anime is unbearble to watch due to the snail pacing and dragging certain scenes on.
@@newt2120 personally i think Oda has plenty of time to write the manga especially with the amount of well deserved breaks he takes and has been killing it lately but yea the anime being seasonal would be the best even if it suffers from being way farther behind. Toei definitely needs more time to work on it with most episodes instead of jacking the budget up for specific parts.. the pacing used to be so good too

MEMES!
And there's already bots! Never change, RUclips, never change.
Holy shit this is like a self-fulfilling prophecy. If this isn't art I don't know what is 😂😂
Weird how people say they don't like anime despite there being literal thousands of different topics they can watch about, then proceeded to say Riverdale is a good show.
They've clearly have said its a bad show, but a do bad its goofy good
Charlie looks like a Titan in the thumbnail
He boutta commit the moistening
Kaya clearly didn’t watch fate/zero or any of the fate anime, the sex scenes are in the vn, not the anime (maybe fate/kaleid)
Being clueless is Andrew's personality.
Yeah that's just Andrew really.. His take on Genshin was pretty weird also
minerva6402 what was his take on genshin?
@@sweetpea11 I can't remember which ep it was now but they went on a rant about gacha games (the gacha specifically) And Andrew brought up Genshin Impact during it as an example - he hadn't played many hours of it which says a lot as he talked about a bunch of nonsense when describing the games mechanics.
He mentioned the top up/shop and exaggerated how many currencies there were in it.
There was a lot more like how the characters look like carbon copy's of eachother (which isn't really valid.. There's only so much you can do with the models ig)
minerva6402 ah ok. Let me know if you ever find the episode c:
This is a certified hood classic
damn i was hoping he has joey garnt and connor as guests 🥲
Same :(
No thanks
Now i realize that jackson is the connor of this podcast
Not really... Connor has opinions he believes in and in a lot of times weird ones .. Jackson says alot of stuff he doesn't really know anything about or cares about to start fire to a conversation.
In a sense he is more like Garnt.
To be fair, they queerbaited the hell out of BBC Sherlock. Like there's a difference in fans seeing unprompted romantic undertones in close male friendships and the show writers being like "we're going to purposefully make this character's sexual preference ambiguous and make literally everyone in the show think they have feelings for each other, but how dare the fans pick up on that?"
Glad somebody said it
Yes! This is what I’m here for!
Pretty sure it was Gawker that Hulk Hogan put out of business, not Gizmodo
Space Dandy is an amazing anime
This is really great
pretty spot on about the how long yakuza took. I beat 0 through 6 in 7 months.I didn't play everyday,somedays I played for 30 minutes,other days I played for 4 hours.Also its takes 60 hours for 100% completion. I was able to finish 3,4 and 5 under 30 hours,but spent 40+ hours on 0,1,2 and 6
Tbh no not really. Yakuza 0 and 5 are the longest with like 50 hours both, rest are like 20 hours with side content. I have played every game localized in the west (except Fist of the North Star) and they’re not as long as people make them to be
another great episode!
LET'S GO ITS THE PODCAST
'All of us are dead' is quality 😄
The ONE THING Kaya stands up for is RACISM…. Wowwwww. Kaya is a consistent hater, and jumps at the chance to criticize anything… but not racism he stands up strongly to protect someone’s right to say the N word in the privacy of their home without criticism… wtf?! I sincerely cannot f**k with Kaya at all.
Beta
Yeah Kaya just seems like he wants to be a miserable person with consistently bad takes

anime filler is really only a thing in long running animes like one piece or naruto.
