I'm 28 been doing metal vocals for 14 years. This band was apart of forging that. Its been over 6 years 7 years since I hears this. My skin is crawling with bumps and mind full of nostalgia. Love it.
The demo version of this tune is even MORE murderous than the official release. And 3IOB remains one of the best metal shows I've ever seen. Cam and co. delivered 1000% live.
I've commented on this band every time I hear this song...this band don't get the cred they deserve,when they came out it was all about heavy baselines, deep vocal growls from hell,and how groovy you could make it,these boys come out with a twist on the classic metal sound....I'd expect to hear king diamond singing this...thats a comment if you youngins don't know..these boys where BY FAR one of the best but most underrated bands of the 90s
its crazy not more bands copied this formula during that time when metalcore and retro metal was really popular.(every big metal band at the time had to let you know they like iron maiden harmonies lol)
It threw me off the fact that the guy with the long hair, a full beard the complete metal look song the high pitch and the clean cut and clean shaven guy did the screamo, it's still fucking legendary Long live the immortals of metal
Unless the band's line-up has changed, everyone in the band now has grown their hair out and thus look a lot more metal. The singer with the clean/high vocals is awesome!

I don't even sing and I can hit every note in this song, I already know it on guitar but for some reason everyone in my old band could sing this song perfectly, its easier for guys to hit those high notes than it is for a woman, believe it or not.
that's not true, he's just singing in falsetto or someshit. anyone can learn that. but girls can sing higher, check out georgia brown. it's just technique and hard work (for some).
Cas your right, I mean just look at Mariah carey, idk who has the highest register ever, but she is damn close, with a 5 octave range, im just saying it easier for any man to do it, not just trained singers, women can and do sing higher but it sort of comes more naturally, I don't sing hardly ever and have a super deep voice, but without straining or really even trying this song was very easy for me to do, in fact ask some of you guy and girlfriends to try to hit a certain high note, I will bet that more guys are able to do, it just comes more naturally for us, whereas some girls might be able but most will struggle, as long as they don't have much experience I thought the same way you did until I had met the vocal coach that works at our local college, she is the one who filled me in on this, I guess it has something do with our physiology, I know it sounds crazy but since I heard this, it seems to be true anytime I have put it to the test, we play a lot of shows all around southern ohio and northern Kentucky, so its a fun fact to bring up because you just know everyone is gonna be like, "bullshit"!! lol
Jean Claude Van Damme is totally a great screamer (sorry, his looks just remind me of JCVD, but jokes aside) it is so sad Jamie Hooper had to give his vocals a rest, because he is indeed fantastic!!

This is was and remain an outstanding record. My all time favorite together with other older legends. Awesome tunes and great sound engineering and production! Not to forget the concept image! They should have kept it that way until the end. The double vocal was so original and brutally effective!

Jamie Hooper is insane. Saw them live in Calgary years ago. His mic was messed up for the first song and kicked in half way through the second song and scared the shit out of me. That was my first time hearing them. Cam is a God. I swear I feel some rumblings of them coming back
Played a show with this band and old school metal kings Metal Church. 3in of Blood were young as fuck and I was expecting nu Metal/ emo/ screamo style since my band had played recent shows with locals who played that stuff . Three Inches of Blood do a sound check and was impressed. Turns out some of the members were from another band Goatsblood who played a gig with my band in Texas a year before. I was just relieved that this young band was coming with real white hot metal and doing their take on it without sound silly.
This is the first time I've ever actually seen this band, and they look nothing like what I pictured them when I was listening to the song. Fucking metal as hell nonetheless. \m/
I seen these guys perform in a dingly bar in brandon Manitoba canada in like 2007...I was deaf for 3 days and my neck was sore from head banging ha Hung out with them after the show. Awesome guys, great performance.
