They honored the original music video that Dio put out so well, it’s just as cheesy in the best way but also fills me with energy to singlehanded take down the local monarch
The best part is that the original Dio video is not only just as cheesy, but also plotless and even cheaper. Like it had 1K budget, it didn't have any final fight, and most of the budget spent for booze and cokes.
There is something ironic about the fact this video shows off nothing but love for Dio but the fans are utterly divided about it.

Last summer me and my friend met Howard (very very quickly) I wouldn’t even really call it meeting him. But after his gig with Light The Torch, We ran outside to the tour bus to see if we could say hello, and sure enough there was Howard. We said a couple quick words and said it was an amazing show! And he acknowledged us and said thanks for coming out to the show! Then he jumped on his bus, and took off. It probably didn’t mean anything to him, but to us it meant the world. Being life long fans of his work, it was a very special moment. He’s the best!

Okay don't get me wrong, Jesse Leach is a great singer too and I know that he was the original lead singer of Killswitch Engage. But there's just something about Howard that made the band sound unique and different from most typical rock bands and he's the reason I've recently got into this band in the first. The man is a beast with those powerful vocals and the fact that he did a cover of a Dio song of all things and absolutely nailed it proves it.
Every band, that has a second Singer better than the first is Just unique and Howard was that magic ingredient that made KSE special.
I totally agree Jesse had a more punk/thrash harshness to his voice but Howard has the bombastic opera range that meshes so well with the tones they use for the guitars.

Wow, agreed. The entire BlacK Sabbath Heaven & Hell album/CD is a tour de force of top notch heavy rock, don't avoid it or thumb your nose at it just cuz its 'old'. And Dio's 'The Last in Line' is a crazy superior song and performance than Diver, trust me (us if the OP agrees!). I think this song is equivalent, if not a little more than on par with the original song. Please don't hate on either Dio or Killswitch Engage, two excellent recording artists. Both songs do rock music justice. I do prefer Howard's more melodic and piercing vocals, personally. However, anyone is entitled to their opinion, and I welcome all responses that aren't trollish or anything. Non-rant over.

NO DOUBT bro he not only sounded like Ronnie but brought a certain RAGE and ANGER that only RJD I thought was capable of bringing to the mic, but I stand corrected HE NAILED this song and Ronnie would be so proud of this rendition that honors our LATE, GREAT LEGEND of METAL that was Mr. Ronnie James Dio and to those that can't give props to Keegan on the vocals obviously have not a clue as to what DIO was about or sounded like and this man STOOD HIS GROUND and fucking blew me away. I am still stunned as I just heard this yesterday and have burned up the headphones cranking it to Mach 10 trying to blast the speakers out as its the only way to really appreciate what a absolute masterful cover of RJD's legendary music. its a tribute to Dio. You're looking at it the wrong way, of course they cant be exactly like the original. That's why they put their own touches and flairs to it, to make the song their own. They did an excellent job turning a classic into modern metal. It's your opinion though, I respect that.
