Funnily enough "Tubular Bells" wasn't originally written as a horror theme (more as experimental prog rock), and at a few points later on in the song you can hear a major key reprise very similar to your rewrite, at one point with a bluesy beat (the whole song is 48 minutes long, but most of the reprises of the first part are in the first half).
You can tell when its a zombie movie just by the theme song. They all have awesome drums, and the electric guitar playing lowly in the back ground with some chromatic tune

I find myself coming back to this one a lot because of the 28 Days Later bit. The orchestration on both of them were stellar and haunting. The original really feels as though the world has come to a grisly end and soon so will you. But the major key turns this into a damn Jesu track almost. So dreamy and a little creamy as well. Like seeing everyone you've ever loved all in one place again, but it was just a dream. As serene as death. Well done, Stevie from 7 years ago. 🤘🤘🤘

I find myself coming back to this one a lot because of the 28 Days Later bit. The orchestration on both of them were stellar and haunting. The original really feels as though the world has come to a grisly end and soon so will you. But the major key turns this into a damn Jesu track almost. So dreamy and a little creamy as well. Like seeing everyone you've ever loved all in one place again, but it was just a dream. As serene as death. Well done, Stevie from 7 years ago. 🤘🤘🤘

I have always absolutely loved the 28 later song! So Epic! I see not as epic in major but still epic! I remember the night I found that song out by ear and I just had to add the epic awwwwwws that went over the original with my singing! I loved it!
