Thank you for sharing with so many excellent layouts to see. 👍 Millhouses and Rainy City particularly caught my attention, as did the 'O' gauge Edinburgh tram.... 🙂
@MrHz2921 glad you enjoyed the video am not sure about the crane it may have been either scratch built or kit built, I think efe rail are doing a crane which was the abandoned hattons project that looks similar, thanks for watching. Tom
Hi Phil it certainly is a great show, especially now we dont have the wigan one anymore, there was a brilliant variety there this weekend, have you done anything with your layout lately
@@northwesttrainsmodels Not done much at alll with layout. I have set it up in the garage now and looking to extend it but money a bit tight latley so hope fully soon there will be some progress.
Deadmans lane certainly in the top 10 category, really nice layout, always found tmd layouts interesting, nice to see trains moving up and down the yard and also main line trains passing infront
@@mikegodwin3019 It is a representation of the site at Derby, but compromises have been made to downsize it to fit the available space. (I'm the layout builder/owner)
I’ve noticed that every model railway exhibition has at least one American layout. I’m not against American layouts, but I certainly wonder why English modellers choose to replicate American layouts!!
I suppose some people like to do something different, a few i have spoke to have been on american railways and i suppose want to replicate it, i saw a few i really liked on multi levels with trestle bridges and i also like the swiss mountain railways
Lovely to see the Austin FX3 taxis outside the station. One of my cousins drove one when I was a little boy!!
@@Madonsteamrailways that's interesting to now, glad you enjoyed it
Glorious station scene with the steam locomotive puffing smoke and hissing as it should when standing.
@Madonsteamrailways yes it adds alot to the layout having the extra features in the locos
Beautiful and good detailled scenery!
@susannestoffel2534 glad you enjoyed the video it was a great show and good fun filming it

@@DYLINGTONMODELRAILWAY thanks James it was a great show with lots of brilliant layouts
Some of the most beautiful layouts have wonderful Welsh names!! I wonder if that’s anything to do with the glorious Welsh scenery!!
it could well be
That looked like a really good exhibition
@jamesbeckwith3639 Hi James it was a really good show well worth a visit next year if your not far away, thanks for watching. Tom
Great video Tom, always a good one at Leigh. Couldn`t get there this year.

@PhilPage227 I look forward to seeing your next video on it when it's setup in the garage
Amazing layouts there especially Deadman's lane 00 gauge.
Deadmans lane certainly in the top 10 category, really nice layout, always found tmd layouts interesting, nice to see trains moving up and down the yard and also main line trains passing infront
There is always something moving...what a cracking job the operators do😊
@grahamallen1970 they certainly done a great job
Thanks! (DL is my layout!)
@@newbryford do you hire in the helpers to run the trainset at the show? They seem a good bunch!
that special 150 was my contract at BREL
@ramrodvirago that's interesting I've only ever seen it once at Carnforth, hoping to get a video of it one day, thanks for watching. Tom
crikey its the tech centre brilliant
@@ramrodvirago it is an amazing layout 😃
The diesel shunter on the Appledore layout should be doing a MAXIMUM speed of 15 miles per hour!!
@Madonsteamrailways I suppose sometimes they have to speed them up abit if they aren't running smoothly
i have to say that's not Deadman's lane its RTC Derby and a splendid collection
@ramrodvirago I've never seen the real depot but it looks very similar to pics and videos I've seen of it
It's called Deadmans Lane as it's the view you would get if you walked down the real Deadmans lane to the Etches Park side
The layout is the tech centre yard . 😊

@newbryford thanks for the info I new the layout is called deadmans Lane but never new why
The other question was if the name Leigh was actually Leigh-on-Sea in Essex!!
Ive never herd of that place but then i haven't been to Essex before, Leigh is near wigan greater manchester
and the banana train
