I miss the slickness of first Razr's like V3. Wish they come back with this design sometime in the future. Anyway - great "first thoughts" review, can't wait for full one!
I love my Razr 40 Ultra - it's small, not too heavy, it fits in the smallest pockets my clothes have (and I am a woman), I can easily hook my case to a retractor and it will never fall to the ground. I open it only to answer calls, reply to messeges or google something. I won't upgrade to 50 but I am glad to see Motorola investing in this series. And just like on my current phone on Razr 50 Ultra you can expand any app to fullscreen (see here: 2:06) but it's not comfortable (Messenger send button ends up under camera lenses).
You could recreate the folds challenge Kuba Klawitter did in Poland with Samsung's flip phone. You can use the motorola to see how it compares to the competitors
Unfortunately I had a freak accident with my 40 ultra and something I brushed against poked my closed phone but somehow poked it somehow that the inside screen is almost unusable. I can't wait to buy from my source of a global model again, but it certainly won't be because of this video
I had an iPhone 14 Pro Max, I still do, but I'm now 2 months with the razr 40 +. I can say I recovered the joy of having a phone. It feels so 2000, so fun to use. Now I'm hooked and love the razr, looking forward to whats coming next
@@Mrkeybrd Absolutely nothing at all. I also have a mac, an iPad, an Apple Watch. I thought I'd miss the "Apple Environment" but that's a myth. I think the average person using a smartphone for daily stuff like calls, pics, internet don't necessarily need all that apple has to offer. I was bored with the iPhone. Its battery drained and I never charged it back. I'm free from the Apple curse finally.
After I bought last Motorola RAZR 40ultra a year ago, I dont think to try and buy it once again. This phone are the mid-range phones but with open and close option. Better to buy aby of Apple phones from 12pro till up, or Galaxy 24. Foldable phone are not worth it.
That RAZR is truly disappointing - Since January users have to open the phone to use Google Assistant, and Moto is not even committing to fix this critical user-function, despite still advertising that Assistant can be used with the phone closed. It is a serious defect for a phone that promotes usability when closed. The Lenovo/Moto/RAZR support/discussion board shows how little Moto is taking any responsibility of a broken feature Moto specifically promotes. Moto RAZR... outrageous you have to open the phone to use Google Assistant, awkward, not as advertised, more wear on the hinge and screen fold... since Jan '24 - still that way in June. Great idea, but someone dropped the ball on this critical function.
I have always associated Motorola with menus that are difficult to use. Even if it's an android moto there was always something wrong. It was like their engineers were living on some strange planet....
I honestly dont understand the hype on flips? You use to have to flip.open the phone in order to actually use it......on the new Motorola you have a fully functional 4inch screen on the outside which totally negates the need to flip the phone open???? Whats the point! If all the hype is the screen on the front?
At the beginning I thought it was all about the size. Having a big screen in your hand but a small phone in your pocket. Now it feels that having two screens on one phone is just one too many.
Moto update hell No.1 issue with "Rola" My Moto 2022 Still on Android 13 Yet how many updates was billed.... I bought OnePlus 12 and it continually updates.... Sort ya Shite out Moto

Is there anything you're missing after switching from the iPhone to the Razr as a daily phone (I understand that's your case)?

Hello❤
Yes; if they want us to use flip phone without opening, why not release just a 4inch square phone, I bet it's gonna be massively popular hahah
I have always associated Motorola with menus that are difficult to use. Even if it's an android moto there was always something wrong. It was like their engineers were living on some strange planet....
Liczę na test składania :)

The Razr 50 will get 3% of the total market share if they continue $500-$700
