I mean the unions are expensive because of hype and resell but pricewise by Nike's retail they're actually about the same. $170 vs $190. Now they're thousands because of hypebeast not sneakerheads, there's a difference guys...

Good review! Totally agree about the "poor man's" label, this AJ1 is cool in it's own right. The leather are way better than some earlier releases like the court purple and I love that suede part that comes from the splits part of a hide with its grainy texture. Looking forward on copping em.
Well the "poor man's" in this sense mean more of a "common man's" version, maybe a GR version. Since the unions and hyped shoes are unavailable for the "common man". So that's probably a better label, the common man's union 1s.
