Please don't be so hard on yourself, the design you came up with early on is something that most can't even achieve. I wouldn't say childish, only because designing is always an evolving process. You simply outgrew the style. Always remember to be confident in your work no matter what! Also please continue to make more of these, as I am a Graphic Designer as well looking to update my own website. And I'm always looking to connect with how fellow peers do their own work!
