living in bkk a long time you will learn that tons of street food places without michelin involvement are just as good as the michelin ones and you save time not needing to arrive early or wait in long lines and besides saving time can save money as some michelin places jacked up prices
@@silasketgaskets8709 Of course! But it takes time to wonder around and may not find what you like. I've been to Bangkok for about 15 times in the last 10 years (staying for more than 2 weeks each time). I've also read Michelin Guide website too. But this clip still helps me to actually see the real food and real action.
If there is a building it’s not street food, it’s a restaurant. Street food is from a push cart or some form of movable/temporary structure. You sit on plastic stools and eat from foldable tables on the street. Anything else is just a regular Thai restaurant.
It is good to see you in your own element! What an episode. Loved learning about these food(s) ~ even if they were mostly noodle based. They looked yummy. Well done! =)
Almost all Thai street food is Michelin’s level. You don’t need a Michelin guide but a long queue of the locals in front of the restaurants or the food stands.
Bruddah Andrew, keep the energy going. Ignore some of these comments and do you. You are not. Sonny and you are your own entity so don't fall in line with someone else's success. You can bring your own brand and the people who appreciate your hard work will always be here. As someone who feel in love with best ever food review blah blah blah, I already see your potential exceeding your mentor, friends or whatever's channel.
Also,I was drinking after twelve hour shift when I posted this so mistakes were made but I hope you get what I was trying to say. You got this. Learn from Sonny but don't fall into his brand. You are amazing 😊
Food land great food. Just plain street food is excellent too. My wife lived there 10 yrs. She sang for king of Thailand and taught Bangkok police English too. She worked a private school as vice principal. She also knew minister of education at the time too
Great video man. But if you could in the future add timestamps with the restaurant name it will make things easier for some of us. I'm planning a food tour in a few weeks and had to rewatch your vid two-dozen times to get everything written down 😅
Great video, interesting.. I guess I would have liked to see more diversity in food choices but over all really fun. Looks like you drove twice as far as you needed to crossing town as well, but perhaps there was a reason. Loved the energy too.. Thanks
The 3rd joint is not roasted duck. It's all braised and it's for the adventurous only if into different stuff like blood and duck tongue. The flavours there a generally skewed to the more salty side only. There isn't much variation.
The prevalent sentiment on Thai forums is that Michelin places taste kinda bland compared to authentic Thai food because they're geared towards foreigners.
1:35 As thai, I want to point out that tom yum soup and tom yum noodles are two very different beasts. They don't taste the same or have the same core ingredients. For example, ground peanuts is a core ingredient for tom yum noodle, but you will never find it in tom yum soup.
If you're in Thailand, it's worth the effort to make it down to Malaysia where the food is better and they have Penang style Char Kwey Teow which is the best comfort food on Earth.
They are Michelin 'Bib Gourmand' ratings, and they ARE real. They are awarded to the best 'non-fancy', value for money restaurants and street food vendors globally. He never mentioned stars. Honestly, before you post stupid comments, try using google...maybe you might get that education you missed out on.
Almost everything you went to was a restaurant... Whether the A/C was broken or not they are still restaurants. By your definition you portray in this video literally every restaurant on the street level of a building that's got a front door onto the street is street food.
I am praying to be a Thai born for good food tasting Machine for all my next reincarnation. I can already visualize my own formation body with a special power of never full microchip programming.

That would be a great hire....good idea.
The real challenge here is wearing that suite under the Bangkok heat 😂
hot and humid as hell here 😂
And not sweating😅
🤔 not sure what suit you’re referring to.. the guy is wearing a white dress shirt not a “suite” . And the white color is supposed to resist heat 🙄
It is a dinner shirt 👕..
belonging to the English speaking world custom.. wow ..
I thought this type of shirt extinct..!
I was thinking the same thing 😂
I admit, the content is getting better each time. Good luck Andrew. Need more of a video like this

I couldn't agree more!
But you need to live in BK for a ...long time, I guess. This adventure helps me a lot!
can just wander around and discover nice food without living in bkk a long time

Food and prices just rocks in Bangkok and Pattaya!

Food looks amazing, now I’m hungry

More videos with Bowie! So beautiful and witty. Heard she is a great Thai teacher too 😉

Brutally hot
Food look yummy ❤

Every time 🤦♂️
Yummy❤❤❤
i need to visit Thailand
Our country has 6 regions, each with different flavors of food. You should experience it yourself in this country of smiles.
How about your shirt after the video?
I’m so hungry 🤤
the first dish Hủ tíu mũi tomyum :).
Brilliant
“Put it on my face” …uh that can be arranged. 😂
Tux and street food, in Bkk...! Content creation is tough life
Eating hot food in 100F weather ...I couldn't 😅
I like your content. It will be more helpful if you could list the restaurants and links in google maps.
I’ll try and add shortly
Nice, but bro should've been Michelin Eating, only done 1 actual street food actually off street 😂 anyways great vid as always 👍 ♥ 🇦🇺
In conclusion, $100 went insanely far 😂😂
Living my dream...

One day soon for sure
That's subjective, also you can get even better versions of all Malaysian food in Southern Thailand.
@@FunkyChild718 Not only is THAT subjective, it's also total bullshit.
All I want to know is what on your mind to wear tuxedo in Bangkok?
What do you mean we don’t put rice in a soup in the west? That’s ridiculous. It’s so common I have no idea how you miss it!
I wish I could eat alot and still remain a good fit body shape haha
😊👍🏼
4:16 400 baht is 6 usd? U sure?
Uncle Roger side hustle confirmed 3:24
Andrew, this is a great video about Bangkok food. But the star of the show is Bowie. She is absolutely a very beautiful woman!!!!!
You basically get all the top recommended noodle Bangkok could offer.
feels kinda weird how i tried most of these place already over the year and didn't knew its Michelin star.
Is that $100 aud lol? Need to know for end of year lol
damn after i saw the exchange that definitely 100 usd lol
Hahaha I wish it was AUD. lMK when you are headed to Thailand.
bro I never knew so many of the michelin place are chinese thai fusion food
I have a Thai friend that hardly eats any vegetables and now I know why.
Well to be fair 100 USD is quite a lot in Thailand.
That looks great Andrew. TBH did you believe they were genuine Michelin Stars?
They are Michelin 'Bib Gourmand' ratings, and they ARE real. They are awarded to the best 'non-fancy', value for money restaurants and street food vendors globally. He never mentioned stars.

People love to project, don't they? Just because it's something their city can't do, it doesn't mean that the one called Bangkok can't either.
shes cute, hope you got lucky on your trip lol
Michelin ก็อร่อยแหละ แต่ส่วนตัวอาหารข้างทางคือที่สุด
Someone say NOODLES?!!!?
Keep up the Thai stuff.
No AC in Thailand is the criteria? no😅
Is this the dude from best ever food review show?
You could always look it up sir
Almost everything you went to was a restaurant... Whether the A/C was broken or not they are still restaurants. By your definition you portray in this video literally every restaurant on the street level of a building that's got a front door onto the street is street food.
Are you mark strong son? 😅
It looks like they are all Cantonese inspired dishes…
They are Teochew not Cantonese.
@@NickTheBeluga I believe you. However, the origin of egg noodles and rice noodles are Cantonese. As well as crispy pork, char siu…etc
สำหรับผม ร้านมิชลินในไทยบางร้านก็ไม่ได้อร่อยเท่าไหร่
I am praying to be a Thai born for good food tasting Machine for all my next reincarnation. I can already visualize my own formation body with a special power of never full microchip programming.
Is it me or is this mostly Chinese food?
I've never heard a word so overused "crazy". Broaden your vocabulary.
That's crazy bro....loco.
Do you know what street food is ? Street food is food sold by a hawker or vendor on a street or sidewalk your destination is BS
I should have been more clear in the video. Michelin guide has a “street food” section. These are all selected from that section.
ไกร์พาทานแต่ อาหารประเภทเส้น ทั้งนั้นเลย
