It wasn’t a problem for Luka when the 3’s were dropping and the Mavs were up. Dude is a talent. He’s just not a leader. More of a showman.
Mavericks fan, and I hate to say it, but more and more I find myself starting to agree with that. I want to believe that he has leadership capabilities, but far too often he's got his head in other components of the game that shouldn't matter to him as much as they do. The officiating is the biggest one. I get so frustrated seeing him stare down referees on what feels like 8 out of 10 possessions, and complain to them constantly while he jogs back on defense. His offensive talent is indisputable, and his defense has improved. But I hope his tendency to get caught up in things like this is just a maturity thing that he'll eventually grow out of.
Instead of going Reggie Miler and winning the game, he has the fan thrown own and blows a lead. Maybe Luka should focus a bit less on fans/reporters and try to actually get his team into the playoffs this year.

Exactly, these people want luka to get 70 pt triple doubles while playing with g leaguers, a rookie revelation center that kidd said we got cause we found no one else, we got kyrie and he's been amazing but these 3 are the team actually. No one else is actually pulling weight. Kidd stated it already, thats the nature of the roster, we have guys at minimum salaries playing great some nights and thats it. Luka can be a monster any night and still lose if Timmy goes 2/9, if grant keeps scoring below 8, or when the opposing team doesnt give DJJ his launchpad. So sad to see that the coach dont have a play either. Everyone just on their spot waiting for the 3. rare offball slashes or backline cuts. Screens and taking charges is what the role players are good at but that cant win us chips..

Was instrumental in getting the Suns to the Finals a few years ago. They were up 2-0 on the Bucks.
