The real question is why they feel attacked? Especially when the bible tells us to love our neighbor. Why would your neighbor's belief take anything away from your identity? I think its fear and a majority of Christians are spiritually mature enough to understand that the Bible can be read and understood in different ways: literally, symbolically, metaphorically, etc.

    2) You seem to think that I am using the NDE to support religious fundamentalism: "biblical B.S." Notthing could be further from the truth as I am doing the opposite: using NDE research against fundamentalism. In fact, NDE research supports an inclusive all loving God and this conclusion is also the outcome of my research.
If religion is your problem and you want to ban it or make it go away, well, sorry, then I cannot help you. But allow me my freedom of speech and to do research.

@jessicasorl I think due to your hostility against the Bible/religion you are a bit blind here:
    1) My conclusions/parallels to religion are supported by leading NDE researchers, such as Bruce Greyson and others. Also I am just completing the first empirical study that proves NDEs are equal to mystical experiences we find in religion. This conclusion is supported by many leading NDE researchers against your oppinion. While you may not like religion, my conclusion is generally accepted.

Every religion has set of ideas. These ideas form what we think and ultimately what we are. By belonging to a religion we satisfy our need to belong to a certain group. People get ostracized because they say things that are not biblical, you get ostricized becasue you are not "one of the team" and if you say bible is not completelly accurate, you are attacking beliefs and IDENTITY of people who hold that belief. You are attacking THEM. Thats why you get ostricized.

It's ok. Religions are interpreting the afterlife and the source of everything. So it's subjective. Of course, everything have pro and cons. Some religions seed fear in people minds, making them living in fear. If you don't do this and that you'll suffer forever after you die, etc.
But there's other religion, that says how you lived your life will affect your afterlife.

@jessicasorl I shed some light on your ignorance above, but to answer your question: how can I do this? First, you are wrong to generalize all religion as being about control and hate: just because some are fundamentalists it does not mean all religous people are bad. And it is the good religion and its spirituality that I stand by. Why? Well, NDE research finds that God is real and while religion may be bad, atheists like Hitler, Stalin and Mao are far worse. You want to destroy -- I reform.
