I have a Sambac Jasmine plant in my apartment. When it flowers my whole home smells like heaven. I can't even imagine what a jasmine field smells like.
They could always go work somewhere else, the problem is that this pays them way more than the national average in their country. Failed countries makes for a poor population.
@@RandomGuy_dying looks like all migrant workers, almost nobody but the boss got to speak whereas in all the other videos the laborers spoke at least a little bit, no talk of the history of the processing, that French guy seemed like just the absolute worst, and the owner’s shirt screamed “nightclub douche”.
I love rose scented things and use Paco Rabanne's Olympea Blossom perfume. During the Bulgarian/Damask Rose segment I looked up what kind of rose is used in my perfume. It said Damask Rose! Yay, now I know how my favourite scent finds its signature note ^_^
So the oils are made and sold for very cheap but the second it goes over seas its mind boggling expensive why oh right greed. Coconuts come on really its ben picked younger and younger so now there small and not good tasting or no tast at all. Grow a king Coconut it grows without a husk and its just as big as Coconuts now and there sweeter then normal Coconuts. Also I remember when Coconuts where as big as 2 or 3 solf balls but now is rare to find 1 in the store thats bigger then 1 solf ball I'm in my 20s so it's not like decades have passed before this happened it was basically over night they start picking them sooner then normal. Roses just grow one there easy and hard to kill make soap bars at home with em or something. There is no reason to have fields of roses its a bush that can easily grow in a pot so just grow your own like we use to before technology stupidfyed the world. Palm oil is in dam nere in everything we eat like potatoe chips some kinds of hot sauce and much more like at least 90% of pre made foods have it in there.
That mindset is stupid. That's like saying sand is sold cheap. But when it gets processed into tempered glass to be used in smartphones, it is suddenly expensive. A raw product is useless until processed, and people can have the right to price their work. Don't like it? Don't buy.
I think compilation videos are great and all but you guys release way too many of them. Half of the last ten uploads are compilations. Is it in your contract to upload daily or something? Cause I for one wouldn't mind a couple days without an upload. Then when you do upload, it's new content.
If all of these items are so expensive, and take so much time, why not streamline the process with the money made, to ultimately make more money faster
because the people making them are usually poor, and when its companies doing it, its often a lot cheaper and more worth while to keep with the inefficient methods bc they dont have to pay the large upfront costs on machinery, farms, whatever and can make the price of whatever theyre selling go up bc of the labor of other people. but mostly its because these things are made by hand in smaller batches by people who will never be able to afford the costs of fancy machines and factories and such. take the shea butter ladies! they put in immense effort but the costs of more machinery to help them is out of reach for their group at the moment. its not like its feasible to use all or even most profits to buy such things bc people need food, clothes, shelter, you gotta buy soap and shoes and a new plate bc the kid broke one. yeah it would ultimately make them more money, assuming its as simple as one machine, but its usually not, and the long term gain of extra income isnt worth the hunger now
@@ArkAwaitspeople have no idea how much capital is needed to buy machinery or renting a space and keep utilities going. Then it's millions in machinery investment to make more product. The op should be fronting them the loan so they can do faster work
"when we smelled this rose, it smelled like a rose" how insightful
A poet and a philosopher. 😂

The jasmine flower part is very beautiful.
Cannabis distillates are around 1100 bucks a liter whole sale. Terpene extracts are close to 2 dollars a milliliter
8:54 Why do I get the feeling that guy secretly made a suit of human skin?
Re: palm oil production, the press is not hydraulic, it's mandraulic 🤣
A story about exploiting poor people for companies to exploit dumb rich people 😅
They could always go work somewhere else, the problem is that this pays them way more than the national average in their country. Failed countries makes for a poor population.
working at amazon or driving for uber is also exploitation, we live in capitalist world, sad but thats the way the world fuctions
"exploit". LOL
Name companies .) everyone can buy pressing technology and start .. you can buy small machines 10kg/h and level up for tons..
That Bulgarian rose oil operation was mad sus
what makes it sus though, i don't understand???

@@maxjohansen9475I was going to say the same thing. The "boss" seems like a scumbag.
life is cruel
chinese investor, bulgarian owner, french perfumeur, indian migrant worker
Lucy's skin is absolutely flawless, big perks working in the shae butter industry lol
its either rare OR takes a lot of effort to process.
if its neither, it'd probably be cheaper.
basic supply and demand.
Thank you for your explanation, Stephan. I mean, sir Captain Obvious
You forgot BELIEVED rarity/effort to process.
Like diamonds.
I am proud of live in Jasmin city ( madurai )
What is that song in the background playing at 6:02 ?
So interesting to see the differences in processing Argan oil and Shea butter given the plants are related and the fruits look similar.

Is the Bulgarian oil operation secretly the trailer for farcry 7?
I didnt know there was full melt shea butter.
Canyon cook with shea butter? Looks like coconut oil and may be better then we know.
Good to know 💯
What happened to the Zildjian video ? Will it be back ?
what about hash rosin?
Leslie always wins

@NileRed starting at about 6:51 i think i have an idea for a video for you xD
Great
That guy talking about perfumes .. you can tell he has an intimate relationship with them😂
And that's exactly who I want selling me perfume lmao, you think the guy dressed like a comic book store owner has any say in the matter?
Just wondering if I could synthesis jasmine oil from feces 🤔
It's sad that these people work so hard and yet most of the money doesn't go to them. So not fair
All oil is rare because its oil
The Video didnt even show how the coconut oil is extracted
Why not use a hydraulic press for the shea nuts?
Cannabis diamonds? 10k kilo?
1kg of jasmine oil cost $5000 but the women only pick 5000 buds to make it. I’m moving to pick buds.
You don't read or watch the video. They don't get paid 5000 oh my god😂😂😂😂😂😂
Another informative video from Business Insider. But these people are all overworked and make only a subsistence income.
Hmm, I thought black cumin oil was (way) more expensive than coconut oil🤔
Truffle oil is much more expensive. Up to $3400/kg.
That's because like any expensive distillate, it can be cut.
that's Jasmine? we call it "sampaguita"
No wonder I love j adore perfume by Dior 🥰🥰🥰
5000 buds for 1kg of oil sounds... not right. Does it really yield that much? I would have expected 50000 buds at least for 1kg oil.
Noo it's 1 Metric ton of flowers for 1 kg oil & 5000 buds for 1kg flowers
If the red palm oil guys are worried about their harnesses slipping why don’t they get a ladder
Coconut oil cannot possibly increase cholesterol. Only animal fats contain cholesterol and it does no harm anyway.
Why does Thierry kinda look like Jeremy the fragrance man?!! 😭😭

The majority of the money does not go back to the farmers. They probably get less than 1/8 of the sale cost.

Because there is no such thing as "streamlining" nature, not unless it's at a ludicrous expense.
I feel nauseous smelling jasmine fragrance.
And all oils are also expensive because they're all oil
indole in poop and jasmine no wonder i like smelling my own farts
