- Welcome back to the Fiat Ducato Build Series where today we show you our sliding bed design made with IKEA Skorva beams and slats!🛏️
This video took a while to make as it spanked over the course of a few months but I'm so pleased to be finally releasing it!😁 We thought long and hard about what bed we wanted in the van and the design we went for suits us perfectly!🙌😄

You could also have put a bit of paint on the rivnuts and then offered the beam up as another way to mark the holes to be drilled

You can buy self adhesive PTFE tape, in several widths, it's designed for manufacturing processes and lasts a long time. Probably better than carpet on carpet.

Like the design of the sliding bed, but where do you store the divided mattress? Does it somehow fit on the twin bed? Or you have a sliding mattress which can only be used as a double?
Its hard to see but are your rails litterly just sat on the timber? Whats to stop them falling off. Most use the metal brackets to hook the rails onto. I love this idea to put in my van and gain more floor space

Are these bed slats any good? I've read reviews that they constantly move all the time.
Heyo! great idea. What did you do between the skova beams and wood to help is slide? Anything?
We added carpet to the bottom of the wood blocks both sides to help it slide but it was okay without it too
What seats does the bed slide over? Over a 2nd row?
It slides over our bench seat, check out the van tour to see the finished van :)

20mm self tapping metal screws :)
Shame, kept having to turn the music up and down due to your quiet voice against overly loud music, otherwise bob on.
I'm still on a steep learning curve with the editing mate, hope you enjoyed regardless :)
