I've seen them 4 times and have watched this a buncha times...every single time I'm floored by how good this lineup is together. No disrespect to Big Todd.
Love these guys . Down to earth from the dirt type of guys . Id like to jam with em one time. When Down first came out me and my buddy Chad was playing very similar style of riffs and I play lead alot like these guys with that bluesy pentatonic style . So glad they shared thier music with the world.
At around the @ 22:30 mark when Phil says (something along the lines of...) "We are recording live here and I forgot to mention it earlier cause I'm stoned" had me chuckle 🤣😁🤘🏼🤘🏼💨 This was the era of Phil wearing pants, having hair down to his shoulders and on Methadone. The good ol'mid 2000's! I still love the DOWN III" Over the Under album so much. The topics of drug addiction, Hurricane Katrina, Dimebag Darrell's death, depression, etc still resonates so much with me. Such an incredible record. All hail DOWN!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🎸🔥🎸
This wasn't even the heavy drug period for him. He was pretty clean by Phil standards by the time this tour and Over the Under roller around. Drinking and smoking shitloads of weed though of course
I saw them on the over the under tour. Definitely down at there peak. Phil's voice still had a lot of bite to it. This video brings back some cool memories
So damn glad i found this full dvd online,it has been years since i have seen it. Somebody took my Bestbuy copy but lucky for me i found this baby today & scored it. Could not wait too watch it though.Fucking love DOWN
813lynch DUDE i havnt seen this in 11 years! Down used to play this behind their set waiting to play, always thought it was the DVD that came with the live CD but nooo this is different and this is badass
Down is one of the best bands to watch live. I saw them in Manchester when they were touring over the under album and it was a fuckin electrifying experience and on that day I saw five kings🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘FUCKIN AY
I saw them on their Over and Under tour among others. My favorite Down era is still A Bustle in your Hedgerow. Phil was in a very dark place and it came through in the music.
I seen the abustle tour and the over under. I agree with down 2 being the best and his vocals in that Era were my absolute favorite. Remember that tour being amazing
Endo Cannabinoid ... Dude I love this Shit I've been a DOWN fan since NOLA which stands for New Orleans Louisiana i'll always be a DOWN fan LIFER 😈👍✌can't kill what's happened to me

The golden time for Down in my oppinion. First and second album was awesome music but they outdid themselves with this third album. Thank you for uploading this. I saw it somewhere before but I have not seen it for years.
Yeah man...Phil bares his sinful soul on this...vocals are really fuckin solid...that's why I love Down...it's something very refreshingly different from Pantera, with darker lyrics and material...\m/
I'm like every 1 and I ain't never gonna not admit that this band came 2gether for only 1purpose and that purpose iz to show plain metal thrash rock iz and always will be lit 4 eternity!!!! God bless metal headz 4 ever! Luv 💞 hate till the end of agez!!!
It sucks Kurt left the band and Rex but I really miss weinsteid Rex miss the guys and it was half of pantera so that was nice Kurt is a hell of a gutair player
I saw them for the first time on December 28th of 1995, at the millennium in Houston texas. They were handing out superjoint ritual demo tapes at that show, I still have mine, something I'll always like cherish I guess you would say, sounds kind of faggoty, but you know that's the only way I can figure out how to say it haha. 😅 Then on the over the under tour, I took my little nephew to his first concert to see down. He fucking loves them. It's so funny when he was a little kid he loved that song bury me and smoke but the one line where he says my time of aging wonders when I'll die he used to say my time with Asians wonders when I'll die it was so damn funny.
I'm thinking the title corresponds to Christianity's Night Of Darkness (darkening of the soul). It's about how even God's brightest followers hit a devastating "ceiling of brass" with their prayers, particularly when struggling to reform this inarguably corrupted planet of ours for the better.
Philip Anselmo's music has taught me to persevere. Phil is one of my favorite humans on this planet, he is the shit. I look up to him so much.....
Yep,Phil is my favorite grand wizard.
Me too he’s like a father figure
Phil Anselmo is a white supremacist!!! OMG!!!! FU*KING BIGOT! I´M LITERALLY SHAKING!!!!
@plaguelock Man! I was just joking. I love Phil! Im a big DOWN fan.
Dude! You could’ve stopped at “your an idiot” lol.

I've seen them 4 times and have watched this a buncha times...every single time I'm floored by how good this lineup is together.
No disrespect to Big Todd.
Todd didn't play bass on the recording of nola. Kirk did
Anyone else still waiting for the making of Down 2 documentary? Lol
Someone just put this on Down's Facebook page 😂 as they spent 30 days in Phil's barn getting wasted recording it I doubt it hahaha
That and pantera part 4 would definitely be on my wishlist.

He wasn't on methadone here. He was on a drug called lyrica. After his back surgery.
@@Simon53188 Wow, never knew that? Lyrica is some great stuff. It's Gabapentin times 100. Taking a handful of those things almost feels like MDMA 😂
@@deadforever Right. Phil had quit dope and methadone after Hurricane Katrina from what I remember.
@joshuayettou9032 yeah, been reading loads of interviews he done. He states that's what he's taking.

That's their best album, beside NOLA, after that they brought out only those low quality EPs, with just bad songs, after Kirk left the band.
