- Progress is good and I stumble on to the new Rainbow Caves biome. So this is my first look
Planet Crafter is a first person, space, survival, crafting game. You have been sentenced to terraform a planet for the crimes that you have committed.

I found the colorful quartz yesterday and thought, "I am sure Surtr will tell me everything we need to know about that"... and here you are saying this is a new biome.
Yup, brand new. The colorful quartz is used to make a few thing but you also need them to go through the portals.
I'm really enjoying watching your playthrough and your reaction to all the changes that they've put in on the 1.0 update/release. I can honestly say that I learned something from your video today with using the optimizer to enhance the oxygen production of the tier 2 biomass building. It's not something I even thought of, and when you did and it was successful, I was genuinely surprised. So thank you for that.
Also, as a sidenote to something you've said in an earlier video, I do think the devs have really enhanced the aiming capability of the meteors as they seem to target where you are when they spawn in. Oh, and the super alloy showers seem to have gotten more violent, if that were even possible.
One last thought: I'm wondering if those new quartz areas are mineable? Something to try for sure.

Thanks. I like to test things. I will be testing extractors in the rainbow caves once I get T3 extractors. I really don't think that level of ore will be lower. I might just test the T2 as well just for fun. I am not sure if the Super Alloy storms are more violent but they do despawn quickly so you really need to take the chance and collect while the storm is still going.
@@surtrplays all storms more accurate I got hit twice yesterday (my character) if launching rockets it always seems to hit on or around the launch platform first
Surtr, I love this playthrough, and although I'm currently at 775.3 playing time I can't wait for each of your episodes.
A lot of what you have done is similar to my planet and I like seeing how to improve my base.
A golden chest or two still escape me, but I'll get there.
One note is that my trick of taking magnesium and cobalt when exploring wrecks doesn't always work, because it's impossible to build inside a few of them, but signs are still possible, so take magnesium lumps in with you

Nice to know about the super alloy meteor despawns. At least it's easier to collect these days; trying to mine it was nearly impossible while the storm was in progress.
I think you can see the Oxygen produced by the Biodome T2 but only from the inside. It is your best Oxygen producer right now, but the Tree Spreader T2 will be better once you unlock that.
The new flora in that area where the Uranium cave is are nice.
The T3 Drills are making about 10% extra Pressure compared to your T4 Drills for 50% extra power.
Don't forget you've unlocked the T3 Exoskeleton and the Screen - Orbital Information. Have you actually upgraded your Mining Speed past T2 yet? If not, the Construction Menu Filter will hide the T3 from you, so you'll need to remove it again first.
Thanks. I don't think the microchips get hidden as they are in the T2 crafting station.
Enjoying your series and style of delivery, @Surtr :) - Really good pacing -> The format of highlighting one biome / POI and focusing on 1 - 2 terraforming or building goals per episode works great for me; Whilst one would intuit the need to keep temp, pressure and O2 rates in balance, your reminders about this are quite useful!
In my playthrough, I'm an episode or so behind this one, but got 1/2 way between Moss -> Flora, then had _two_ Super Alloy meteor storms in a row. Man, they are intense! Anyhoo, I braved going out halfway through the second one and filled my boots - Got a locker and a half out of said alloy out of those two storms, lol
Thank you very much. Yeah, sometimes you just have to take a chance to get loads of Super Alloys. I have taken a couple of chances, got hit once, survived, got lots.
I put up first uranium miner at that cave close to rainbow ones, did not remember the other one, so got distracted picking up those 5 quartz types. XD
The rainbow cave are a great addition to the game. I need to explore them some more.
That uranium cave has eluded me. Now I think I will find it.

Before release, I had 25 T2 lockers full of super alloy and more on the ground lolololool
LOL. That feels like overkill, just a bit.
The zeolite is in the dark black and white zone. You can get osmium and pulsar quartz as well
there is a zeolite cave too. You can enter through the sulphur area into osmium cave turn left and then you will be a in biome with big white crystals on the ground and walls when u can put miners down
Yup, I will get there but there will be plenty around to get started.
The balcony (climb the vine in the Iridium cave) also has a few Zeolite you can mine.

Just a heads up Surtr, if you hit F2 it disables/enables the GUI/HUD. Great for cinematics or pics! Either way great series so far!

Did anyone get attacked while in around rainbow cave? I was exploring from grass land and then somehow found rainbow cave and then achievement notification came up, suddenly there's like lasser missile came to you, I can even see that lasser in the map moving in real time. I was so scared because of my health and then back home. But when I came back around rainbow cave again, nothing happened
That sounds very odd. Maybe it was a meteor shower?
@@surtrplays I don't think so, because it came towards you like someone shooting at you not from above and I don't think you can check the movement of meteor in the map,

I have a problem finding uranium. I found 2 caves with it but i cannot use extractor there, it shows to me that can be extracted iron
are u using T2 or T3 drills as T1 can't extract it
You need T2 Ore Extractors for Uranium. You could also put up some rockets that will give you Uranium. I think it is the heat rocket. Thanks for watching.

i have an issue with the 2nd screen, the one with the plants and bugs. Seems like i have an invisible screen on top. i only see the top half of the 1st thing.
the plants, bugs, animals does not show at all.

I explored after stopping the Ti and found that biome. weird but nice.

Have you tried to reposition the screen?
@@surtrplays the issue fixed itself after i moved my base. Maybe that was the issue? i did see similar ppl with the same issue that play with a controller rather than a keyboard

What rocket makes the planet more green?
Its a combination. The planet gets greener as your terraforming index goes up.

Becausei got past the moss stage, and i havent play the game in a while so im stuck.
It takes a while before you get the seed rocket. Concentrate on doing what you can do with heat, pressure and oxygen, and you will progress.

I only found 1 fuse so far. Must be doing something wrong. Going on 4gti ,things are moving bud not very fast.😊
Just keep exploring, you will find more especially when you start exploring the portals.

I am sure you don't have any control over this but the number of ads is ridiculous. I am not even halfway through the episode and they have already shown 4 ads. Yes, I can skip them, but this is only a 30 minute episode, and it is very distracting. Sorry, but I am going to skip the rest of this. It is really aggravating me today. Nothing personal here, I just had to vent.
RUclips premium is definitely worth it for zero ads. I’d go insane watching ads.
