Thanks for the episode. Again, good progress! I am curious to see how "useful" many of the gadgets you are collecting (and sometimes fabricating) will be as the game goes along.

The repair thrower is in an easy-to-miss little side area; IIRC you need to deconstruct a bit of metal to get through. Personally I don't use it that much; I think it is more resource-efficient than the repair patches, but it takes two inventory slots for the thrower and the foam vs one for the patches, and the resources are easy to get.

In the base linking the mine and the crew quarters, you can use the builder tool to break down the beds, this will give you fibre. Also in the gold shielded area you can harvest the plants for fibre.

HINT : when in an area, all the 'walls' and structures when you deconstruct them have a random chance to spawn other items, so every Metal Wall/Ceiling/Floor, every Glass Wall/Ceiling/Floor etc etc.. all have a item span chance when you deconstruct them so you leaving all those structures up means you are often missing things that could have spawned in. FUEL - in your other videos, I was watching as you ran past and ignored multiple fuel tanks in rooms that you were not picking up, you missed a lot of varying loot / items but again, that is part of your habit with racing along and the habit of not deconstructing everything. "I should SCAN IT" - and then does not scan anything.

Tip for today: If see thick smoke from a building roof, then probably a crashed pod with OK loot (2 crates to fix). Furniture Fabricator needed to make backpack to the pet, giving extra storage. I try to get the pet pillow before go first Under-dust. You can get to the tunnels by jumping from the walkway where the ladder by the fence is, so can get the pet before have Hypothermia booster. Since have the handheld extractor, I have not used the deck extractor or the automated one, have gotten more than enough resources without those.

Another great video, can I ask - do you play on PC or ? I said in the last video about the diff between normal and easy, I'm now thinking of starting again on normal as you are getting lots more stuff and even finding more platforms to explore. One thing I found out that if you are miles away from your pod you can press unstuck in the menu and you will immediately be transported back. I also tried to get on your discord channel but was told I couldn't. Tfs

The AMBER King Size Bed, when you rest in it, will HEAL you. So if you are low on health, sleeping will heal you when the normal bed does not heal as much (normal bed heal like 5 points, King Size heals like 20 points for a full sleep/rest cycle) STOP RUNNING AROUND WITH YOUR FLASHLIGHT ON in the middle of the day! Also map locations are procedurally generated, so if you see a place you want to go to to check things etc etc, does not matter if you don't go to it, as you travel it will generate/spawn more of that type of tower.

Honey spoils extremely slowly and is important for a couple of later recipes, so I would suggest not eating it unless it is an emergency (or you have a lot of it).

Is there a balance issue with the ship when building? Will it capsize?

Suggestion: put the posters on the ceiling of your airship so you don't have to use up storage slots on them.

Tip for some space efficiency: Get 4 turbines, later only upgrade 2 (until build a big craft). They can be placed "stacked", I have a 3 wide vessel with 2x on each side and engine below them, so can access crouching in the middle. Only one balloon section expansion for a 3x3 compartment with small cockpit and some walkways at front sides (so see fast an approaching creature), give me enough space for needed stuff. External devices rarely needed I put in storage. Chargers can be placed on the ceiling. I rarely go for general POIs, since get more than enough stuff from mission ones. Also go for "?" locations, try get the small and large freezer early, are at versions of windmill POI, need many helium bottles.

Happy New Year and thanks for showing off Foundation, @Surtr - Might have a go of the demo, myself off the back of this. It has the feel of "The Settlers" from the glorious 16bit days for me. Wasn't sure of what to make of it from the Steam Store page, but it has some interesting differences from Manor Lords in the management/strategic gameplay and I like what I see so far for the customisation of major civic buildings.

how can you craft thew fertilizer packs? i can´t find any in the world

All of my remote bases are Summon docking stations. You can fit a lot in them. No local power needed.

Some more tips: You can recharge the handheld extractor while walking and looting (interact key). The radar/map I place low in front (find the sweet spot when not angled), then move the helm a bit away so can see the whole map while maneuver.

Yeah this is flowing well. Also thanks for not building off camera. My only other comment is do the story, don't ignore it or move past it so that 'players can do it on their own'. If we are watching you play its because we want to see the story and the adventure and stuff. But yeah this was fun.

I do like the visually "disturbing" nature of the graphics. I'm just not sure about the damaging detritus floating around, the animal attacks and the need to sleep. While this genre of games is about "collecting" and that always involves busy-work, those things I mentioned seem (at this point) cumbersome and I'm not sure they "add" to the game-experience. Nice work and I enjoy your pacing and explanations!

so my main observation is now that the broken boxes are super good compared to your last playthrough which is how it should be

Yeh I always complain.. bloody messy building and racing ahead to things instead of fully searching and clearing an area :P :P - As for those complaining about you building while offline, if you pop in and decide to do a little building work, you should just record it, and then play it back as a fast play montage!

Bought it on launch and enjoyed your other playthroughs. Maybe time to come back (didn't get far into the game) although other games sucking up my time currently

I tried one of these sort of games a while back, it was early in early access and had to stop playing due to multiple issues. They seemed to have fixed it so might go back at some point. This looks fun though
