I was in 4th grade during the Ebola Scare. I remember a day when everyone was freaking out because there was rumors that a guy came to America when he was infected. Even though I was only 10 years old, the topic was big and a real and scary threat. I'm glad that all of that is over.

Plus there is no way someone would get from Africa to America before dieing. And if this did happen, America would quarantine almost everyone that person even thought of. The first Ebola infected person in the US was in 1989 but the strain was Ebola Reston. Maybe the video is talking about the other strains coming to the US but Ebola has been here before just seemingly less lethal.
Yeah Ebola Reston wasn't lethal to humans. The worst symptoms Americans living in Reston Virginia got from Ebola Reston was similar to the flu but not lethal. The monkeys on the hand, Ebola Reston was very lethal to them. Most of the monkeys infected with Ebola Reston died and surviving monkeys had to be put down to stop the disease from spreading.
