- The Dominican Republic, a tiny island nation, can't really do much in the world. Or can it? Join me for some Dominican Domination! The challenge is to play as an island nation and eliminate all land-locked nations. It is way more difficult than it seems.

Tbh the beginning of this one feels like proud nation of Tropico deciding that it had enough.
Naval invasion with single submarine, marching to enemy capital with nobody to stop you, the whole world not even noticing the regime changes...😅
Challenge: Release Malta as a puppet of England and play as Malta. Attempt to turn against Britain, become the new head of the British commonwealth. If you like, use any mod to give Malta more interest, but you must start as Malta that is a puppet of England.
Challenge idea: I'd like you to try "24 units only", meaning you get only 24 units to do port guarding duty and pushing frontline. (or one general only, if you can get him to be a skilled staffer, then 30 are allowed). My hope from this challenge is that you'll have to get good with navy to guard against navy invasions and get good with tanks and air in order to make full use of your limited unit count. Limitations: No subjects may be called to war unless you seize their military and have them garrison something without game impact. (Allies in factions are allowed but not if they are mayor powers(except italy or france).
Let me rephrase: As either Germany, Japan, the Soviet Union, the UK, Italy, France or (any) China, have no more units then one general can handle (24 or 30) without the aid of puppet AI armies. Faction-allies may use their armies to help you, but only if you lead the faction and there are no other mayor powers besides France and/or Italy.
My favorite recurring Taureor joke is who Dover is named after.

Equestria at War is next, yay! The best mod in the workshop tbh. I never watched any episode of MLP and don't even know its lore, but i've played the mod and it's amazingly well made.

As someone who grew up in the Dominican Republic, I have to tell you. This video was BEAUTIFUL.
Also, fun fact. The leader of the Dominican Rep. (Trujillo) did declare war on Nazi Germany (there is an Urban Legend that says that, when Hitler got the news, he asked his staff to point out where the Dominican Republic was on a map, and upon seeing the tiny country, he put a pin on it and said "We won").
Also, Trujillo's government issued around 100,000 humanitarian visas to European Jews, even if only around 10,000 actually got the documents and fewer got to the country. Funny thing about this is that Trujillo did so out of his own racist policies, since he wanted to "de-Africanize" the Dominican race, so he thought that European Jews were, after all, European.
History is so ironic sometimes.

collabs only take effect if you have the largest war contribution against that nation. You get the compliance from it in any territories you annex in a peace deal. I've had many games where I've done collabs, but the nation doesn't get the surrender limit shift because someone else has more war score

Before officially becoming the Dominican Republic Dominicans fought off the Dutch the British and the French while being under Spanish rule using pure Dominican Mullatoes and Mestizos later we beat Haiti the nation of slaves that defeated napoleons France in a 24-0 Tsunami where they Lost hundreds of thousand of soilders and we lost about 20 while being a third of their population later we defeated Spain after being annexed then we kicked USA out like 3 times although their history books won’t say it but we literally kicked them out they lost too many soilders in each occupation so yea I’d say we’ve been great at war considering our size learn your history
@@milianoelrey3636 bro I’m not in favor of wars due to they never help at all . Also we didn’t kick the US they left after putting their choice of leader: Balaguer. Which checking my personal notes (was living in the capital during his multiple reigns) lots of people disappeared .

I am surprised no one has mentioned this to you yet, but for naval invasions it is best to set your ships to either strike force or naval invasion support, as these give the most naval superiority.
Patrol isn't great because your ships will waste fuel and considering your style of playing, I don't think you actually want to fight other ships most of the time, but patrolling does exactly the opposite, as your ships will be actively looking for fights.
So as the name suggests, naval invasion support is the best, because it gives you the most naval superiority and the ships only leave port in order to escort invading troops or protect convoys (the annoying thing is that sometimes the ships will protect convoys that have nothing to do with the invasion, but this is still much better than patrol).
This was my favorite recent video of yours. You know how to turn a tiny country into a superpower while still making the video fun to watch. When most channels which do these kind of challenges they slap some music over it and speed it up without any commentary. Honestly, your videos are what initially got me interested enough to buy the game 5 years ago.
For a spreadsheet suggestion, I think a Turkic Union video would be cool.
I understood this challenge as 'getting all landlocked area that is owned by landlocked nations at the start of the game'. That shows again how easy it is that different people interpret things that seem to be clear very differently.
Seeing this run I realized that the game should let you have a desicion like, you have 5 puppets that can make a formable nation, you combine them into a single country after they take their focus and even more you reduce the Lag.
That's where mods come in, the mod "Road to '56" has some things like that, plus a lot more 'flavor' and variety overall
As I am not a Dominican, I can confirm they are overpowered nation.

Blast to the past: set most countries eg: Austria/ Hungary, Germany, USSR, Poland/ Lithuania, Britain, china, France, etc to their monarchist focus trees and as one of them try to create an alternative WW1 in WW2 (if they have multiple monarchist paths chose the most interesting / fun one in your opinion)

Challenge Idea: (I think setting all nations to what they need to be might help) As Fascist Britain, form the Imperial Federation with the theoretical maximum amount of cores, or try to get close to it.
I mean this in the most respectful way, but I always watch your videos twice. Once at night, because your voice is extremely relaxing and the length of the videos puts me to sleep, and the second time when I'm free in the midday between classes and work so I can actually learn the strats you put out for these challenges 😂 love your work man keep it up!

The collaboration government will only affects surrender progress for the VPs you control. If you ask germany for sovier territory like moscow, leningrad, or stalingrad it should push them over sooner.
Now do the opposite-Release yourself as Croatia and only take coastline provinces!
Challenge idea: release algeria as france but make sure to check the keep cores button
13:55 flexible org allows you to carry on momentum, suppressive firepower allows you to create momentum, aggressive reconaissance can sometimes win you a battle or two but is not reliable enough to spark momentum consistently.
Also you do realize you can edit your subject's division templates to what you want?
I still think Göring's Germany is interesting since it's been in the game for quite some time but I haven't seen it being done a lot.

If you looking for ACTUALL CHALLENGE try to play as sanation poland (grey ruling party) on "total war mod" on veteran diff. Gold medal: survive to germany in 1939, silver: capitulate soviets after give away danzig, bronze: change party and do whatever you want.
Gl, i've tried this about like ~200 times on couple of versions of this mod and actually pull that off like 3 times, so i guess it's kind of hard :)

Btw Taureor anti tank in single player is pointless better research anti air. It can deal with enemy cas and also pierce some tanks bc it has piercing not much but big one is against cas much better then anti tank.

If you start the naval invasion of the UK from holland to Hull and south of it, you only require naval supremacy on the North Sea.
The same applies to Spain for Leon to Bristol/Cardiff.

As a Dominican I’m conflicted since DR during Trujillo lots of good people lost their life’s , one positive of Trujillo he was against the Nazi and that’s about it .

Isn't joining a faction supposed to cause all guarantees on you to cancel? So once you joined the US would drop their guarantee on you. So you wouldn't actually be able to attack Argentina without being at war with the US. What happened?
USA won't attack countries in the Americas generally.
There should have been "a peace with honor" option with the Soviet just like the Japanese once you taken a certain amount of territories from them

Taureor, have you considered switching to Elite difficulty and giving all majors all their buffs in the settings as default way? Yes, it makes AI unfair with the amount of bonuses they have. But let's just say that after NSB dropped, it's probably the only way to make AI stop suiciding itself with lack supply.

Suggestion: I would like to see @Taureor do the "Crusader Kings 2" Achievement. I think after having done a campaign in South America as a Latin American country, it would be fun for him to do a campaign through Africa as an African country.
Dominican Republic was my first "game" in HoI4. Just to learn the (shitty release vanilla) mechanics from a safe but yet fascist place. Didn't do much but conquering Haiti and help out in the war for the Axis but it was good enough.
