- Showcasing the Pixel Knight skin for the Custom Knight mod made by wowee. This brings back the original graphics of Hollow Knight when it released on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1979.
It does the retro mode effect nicely. I'm sure this one will appeal to some folks.

1:29 Ascended Watcher Knights (Fury of the Fallen + Nail Arts/Hatchlings, Baldur Shell + Thorns)
Pixel Knight isn't available in the Custom Knight sprite folders at this time but searching for posts by wowee in the HK Discord should turn it up. Or searching for "pixel knight" in the modding-discussion channel.
The modinstaller for Custom Knight can be found at radiance.host/mods/ModInstall...

Hello "maker" of the skin here, the sprites look like I just slapped a pixel filter on it because I did, i used a program called Pixelator to make it, the results look pretty cool so I sent the results to the discord, it may not look *great* but hey it's still something :)
Yeah, I think I saw you mention pixelator in Discord in the first version. Even if it's just a filter it's a skin some folks might like.
@@CrankyTemplar hello, i know it is a bit annoying(hope it's not, it is my first time doing this kind of stuff),but i think the radiance skin is free to use for anyone, the creator just gave the password to anyone who wants it. I used it yesterday (to beat pantheon of the knight for the first time 112%!) with no problem.
No worries! I just forgot to respond. Does the drive include who made the mod to be able to give proper credit?
@CrankyTemplar yes, it is ixiska in the folder name. 辐光小骑士means radiance knight btw
One other question: Does this person want this also available on the HK Discord/Custom Knight Sprite Sheets or just folks going to their drive to get the file? I want to make sure I include that info as well for anyone wanting to try it out too.

Yes most of the sprites look like they had a pixel filter slapped over them, but I personally think that the spell sprites are pretty solid.
Thats how my game looked when I used to play at 640x400 on my old laptop
You could possibly just put the entire game through a filter in unity and achieve a similar effect. Objectively worse, yes, but

My favourite part of this one is the crystal dash, nail slashes and the nail arts. A bit hard to notice the other ones, none the less great work!

It hardly looks retro, but at the very least someone had the balls to do shape of unn and its variations.
It did everything because it’s a filter.

I had an idea for a rouge like hollow knight game with similar art style where you start in dirtmouth and go down through infinite randomly generated rooms a can use geo that you get to buy things from shopkeepers that are in the game.

It's hard enough to get an NES cartridge of Hollow Knight, but getting it to work is the true challenge of anyone who played NES.
When you’re so nostalgic for more hollow knight that you convince yourself you grew up with this game on the NES lol but this looks like a lot of fun!

How good is the fury of the fallen charm?
Great if you avoid getting hit. It's 75% increased nail damage and stacks with the strength charm.
