If Capt Bernard beats you into a pulp. Ask him if he can show you combos, you will get healed instantly, also sleep in the camp near by you don't need to get back to the Mills. I know 2 years later, I just got it last week on ps4 for a discount so. For the new guys, I hope this helps.

Finally someone that don't suggest to do boring things like riding your horse in a circle in order to raise skills

I always used to skip the random encounters when fast traveling. When I did a hardcore playthrough, I was suprised how cool they were. One time I bought saviour schnapps from a wayfaring beggar for 12 groschen. One time I ran into the skirmish between bandits and cumans and got a ton of loot out of it. Sometimes you can see the town garrison and bandits/cumans fighting and sometimes you can run into someone getting ambushed and save them to get reputation. It made the game much more fun, to be honest.

Another thing you can do is train your maintenance skill. Those training bouts with Bernard, especially with real weapons, damage you gear. Be sure to have some repair kits to patch things up after each round. It you're not too good at combat you may want some Marigold or Lazurus potions for healing up.

Sexy Biscuit, great video! I'm a fellow Brit, actually living in the part of Czech Republic where this is set, referencing another comment here, I genuinely feel like Sam from Quantum Leap! Where we are is unmistakably similar to the landscapes portrayed in the game, the attention to detail, even in the faces of the NPCs (the fact that they actually, apart from Henry, look authentically Czech!) is mind blowing! Keep up the good work on yer vids!

Love this game so much, immersion and realism at its best. Also, didn't know the guy who gives riddles in the middle of the road is now a youtuber.

Sexy Biscuit, you left out an important point on observing the local people. Not only are they interesting with the different chores they do; they and everything else in the environment were painstakingly built to be accurate to the time period. It is like jumping in a time machine. You sound British, did you ever watch the 90s U.S. show Quantum Leap with Scott Bakula? I feel like that.

I'll never forget my first playthrough, walking down a path within a forest and seeing someone walk down the path towards me and started to fight me and then suddenly, 3 more guys emerge out of the bushes and all attack me. im more surprised i actually survived that encounter, too. it was before i was able to even learn how to master strike or perfect block

About point 4, the lives of NPCs. I really liek that they comment on 'recent events' (that is: the quests you've completed and quests you might be able to do). Sometimes you can see a star that indicates you can get a quest hint, but I've seen peopel commenting about these things to eachother, in the form of gossip, (like the woman that lives with the executioner's lot, Tough Love quest), or NPCs that gossiped about a certain Lady who had a (k)nightly visitor.
