I did a two week solo travel through Tokyo and Kyoto about two years ago. It was probably my favorite travel experience. I do speak/read the language, so that helped!
These vlogs have been so lovely. Can't get over those deer! Japan seems to be quite popular with several RUclipsrs these days ...I've watched two other vloggers visit there the past month! Its beauty is unmistakable !

Nice vlog, and for solo traveling I think Japan should be the first destination for people who are afraid of it : it's very safe, people will help you without asking them to, and it's not awkward to be alone there (you will see A LOT of people eating alone in restaurants etc). Not a lot of info in your vlog so better get it right : biggest daibutsu is not this one, it's the one in Ushiku (120m). This one is only 15m ^^
Thank you! I take a lot of photos with my camera/tripod/timer/remote setup, and I also book local photographers in areas I'm staying if I know I definitely want some photos in a specific place (I booked one in both Gion and at the Fushimi Inari Shrine in this video)!

I really want to travel on my own to Japan but I am scared of how airports work more than going alone as I speak some Japanese and can read a good portion of the alphabets but airports scare the living daylights out of me. I soloed Thailand and everything went fine, Japan should be way easier so don't worry it is one of the easiest countries to solo.
