This trailer is my way of expressing the deep appreciation and respect for the old vanilla raiding back in 2006.
Production took 6 months (161 days).
This is my own personal project. It has no affiliation with any private server or Blizzard Entertainment.

Classic Raid Leaders in a Nutshell
@@Cainite and BC Raidleaders as well, from experience of beeing one and having team that really pushed hard till the end. The experience is unique and hyper addictive feeling.
@@Cainite players today only care about stats and shit like that and its disgusting, they dont even know why they do what they do when the actual lore is so good. I remember in my early days using clothes only cuz i looked cool and not like a fucking clown.
Honestly my favorite scene is watching the teleportation trails flying up towards Naxx from the small town. In those few short frames we are taken out of our player/adventurer viewpoint, and look at the heroes from the townspeople point of view. Just something about it gives such breadth and realness to the world

It really reminds me of the first season in Sword Art Online, the actual front wave of players clearing the levels all while literally risking their lives.
If you never watched SAO, basically some dude made a full vr game , invited 2,000 beta testers, which all of them loved. THEN when it was released (only 10,000 copies) people played all the afternoon, only to realize the log out button was NOT there. Everyone is then teleported to the middle of the first floor (floors are levels) and the game master appears in the sky (creator of the game/sim) and explains that the log out button is gone and its a feature of SAO. If they were to try to remove the headsets in real life, your brain will get fried by a signal from the headset. AND IF YOU DIE in game, you are dead in real life too. Only way to get out of the game was to beat it, all 100 floors. Basically what ended up happening is you had raiders, front line raiders risking their lives for better equipment to survive the actual game. Not to mention actual player killers, who would be considered murders, as they were actually killing the person in real life too.
Absolutely, this is the most comprehensive and epic scene.
Watching this masterpiece again after Black Temple Trailer just came out. Been waiting so long, and happy to say fantastic work

This is what a good game trailer should be. It really shows what the game truly looks and feels like, while making it look absolutely epic.
0:47 I don't know why, but this just seems SO epic to me! The whole thing is beautifully made, but that idea alone, that you can actually see from the local zones when the heroes of Azeroth enter the necropolis just has such an epic feel to it. Great job, can't wait to see more!

Citadel of Darkness itself and then landing like bad asses - gives you
the whole "now you will know the REAL monsters" feel, so fucking bad ass

The angles on Naxx itself were awesome too. Really captured the size of Naxxramas. Something I've felt WoW has always kinda failed at in general, not much in WoW really captures that "Oh shit that is big" feeling.
True, I saw Hayven Games do a video showcasing the actual size of Naxxramas, and it turns out it's basically as big as the entire Eastern Plaguelands itself. They rarely actually show the actual sizes of raids and dungeons in the game, but this hit the nail on the head.
It reminds me of the apparition and disapparition scenes in Harry Potter. Difference is they appear to be more like wisps and branches of lightning in this trailer vs the clouds of smoke in that movie. Really cool :)
Naxx opens tomorrow for Classic. Watching this HYPE AF

This is what makes World of Warcraft so unique. The love the players have to devote their time into making these awesome machinimas is just amazing. Loved it hurricane and thanks for this.

What every vanilla fanboy says. Did you know ? All raids were done by 12-13 year olds, and that is the only reason why it felt harder, while it actually was easier, cos, now you wouldnt even see 16 year olds finish a raid. :D Only reason why naxx wasnt seen so much was - GRINDING, AND GRINDING AINT HARD, GRIND TO GET IN. Grinding is not for people with brain and skill, they have no time for shit like that.

@@DsgSleazy funny thing is, the classic players flipped their shit when they found out that classic would have modern graphics. Classic players wanted purity. Original graphics. No changes what so ever. No bug bug fixes. No fixing broken specs, etc. They pitched a fit when they found out they couldn't get away from the bnet interface.
Honestly, Classic could have been extremely fun for again with some rebalancing, 1 or 2 quality of life upgrades and better graphics. But, nope... I can't bring myself to regress a decade and a half.

Jon naxx was originally a lvl 60 raid, 40 players. And it was taken down once wotlk arrived to be revamped to the lvl 80 raid

The view of villagers going about their business while brave warriors are being flown upwards to Naxx is my favourite scene.
This trailer is so good that if Blizzard utilized this guy's talents, his trailers would overshadow the raids themselves.
I am really afraid that they will give him no freedom and employ him just as an animator or something. It would be so good if he could continue working alone or lead a team for making game-graphics trailers. This style and creativity cannot be wasted.

This trailer is really well done.
At 1:38, everyone is rushing towards Kel'thuzad but the wielder of Corrupted Ashbringer is walking, dragging the sword - barely having enough strength to wield it, like having a heavy burden. Very nice touch.
Edit: The blade is corrputed, so having a heavy burden would make sense. If he wanted it to look cool he could've made a scene were a warrior-ish character were chopping through some undead.

The Corrupted Ashbringer actually debuffs the player's stamina/strength, as the blade is corrupted
When people find some deeper meaning in something, it means the author of this has made a good job

This is so so well done. So many aspects are done perfectly : the scourge, naxx, the players coming home from other raids with loot in tow, the raiding aspect of it, and of course what was on the line if they failed. A masterpiece.

Naxxramas was was slightly unobtainable in my first playthrough of Wow back in vanilla, only getting to see the first few bosses, but after playing in Wow Classic, it is easily my favorite raid of all time. It is so much more fun than the watered down version we got in wrath. Naxx is probably the best raid Blizzard has ever done.

I am really really hoping for some Official Blizzard Old story content, from zero, with Mount Hyjal, implementation of the Darkwhisper Gorge, Emerald Dream, all together into one expansion, the story continued, so many ideas that were thrown into the recycle bin.

Yeah i think the old talent trees allowed for more specialization with your spells, abilities and stats.
"Allowed for more specialization" That is such a bullshit way of going about it , yea , TECHNICALLY we had unlimited options REALISTICALLY each spec used the same fucking talent choices that top tier people published as best and that was IT ! There was no customization in raid tier , social playing level , maybe, but even then most still went with the guides that all showed the same thing with a couple things changed for specific bosses . Aka , the same fuckin' way it is now only a lot more complicated than it is now . Those rose tinted glasses really stuck hard on some people , damn .
