You should never use 40vol on relaxed hair or any hair. Its only for making specific formula strengths... It burns the melanin out of your hair "quicker" should have use 30 or lower

girl what bleach cause your hair lighten like 2 seconds, i was like damn damn
I don’t think it was the bleach. I used 40 volume developer, it tends to lift faster then 20 or 30 volume developer.

I relaxed it a month prior. I used the ors olive relaxer
Can I dye my hair without bleaching it first?
Yes you can, depending on the type of dye you use. With adore dye you need to bleach your hair first

Months! Depends on how you constantly wash your hair
