Subsurface oceans on ice moons seems to be a reoccurring theme. It would be funny if there were life on all these moons, all evolved enough to communicate with each other and to debate whether or not these small probes coming from Earth represent evidence of life here, in spite of an ocean with no ice cover over most of it, and a heavily oxidizing atmosphere above.
It’s nice to see the scientific community finally wiping Uranus clean of old materials and information. Uranus looks more promising cleaned up. Now we can send the probe.
I appreciate and respect you for both acknowledging and omitting the Uranus jokes. Don't get me wrong, I love looking deeper into Uranus just like anyone else, but this is science!
I once found a strange anomaly in Uranus while we were performing active Mooning, but I thought we agreed never... EVER... to talk about that? Now you go and announce it as a major discovery! Academic perfidy abounds.
I feel so bad that it's........ the butt of so many jokes. Uranus is actually my favorite planet! It's just rolling around on its side, way colder than it should be, and so on. It's still chugging along despite the big trauma that changed it so radically in the deep past. I'm rooting for you, Uranus!
A mission to either Neptune/Uranus or both would be very interesting in the broader exploration of our solar system, and they're in their own class of planets. We've only had Voyager 2.
A man of culture. I like big Uranus news and I cannot lie cos what we know is spotty at best. It would be a tight landing though. Shame we can't colonize it
The more we look the more we find and the less we know. The idea that there even were planets (moons) with liquid interiors would have been outrageous until very recently. I'm waiting for the first sea monster to appear.
The discovery of active moons on Uranus could provide insights into the formation of planetary systems and other astronomical processes. Rather than simply viewing them as an oddity, we could find opportunities to study energy and life in extraterrestrial environments, opening up avenues for the search for alien life.
Yeah like, who's to say one can see clearly through earth's atmosphere from a distance? There could be giants on Saturn let alone several planets in our solar system.
This is amazingly interesting. I'd be absolutely shocked by this, except that we still suspect that even Pluto may still contain a liquid ocean due to its intense gravitational dance with Charon, and its relatively new looking surface layer.
Did you guys hear about the ring they found that is made up of asteroid halves? It would seem that Uranus is surrounded by a ring of hemiroids. They are hard to see unless the sunlight hits them just right. That happens twice per orbit, so they usually only start to flare up after about 42 years.
Always found the outer planets & their moons the most intriguing. Some of them being far enough away from the sun to have ice methane ice nitrogen really makes you think about the possibilities of space exploration. ❤ Going into grand solar minimum is having effects on earth too. It effects the magnetosphere. Wow now more intrigued than ever ❤🎉 awesome video
Fun Facts: Uranus has rings, and they are mostly dark brown in color. Uranus smells like rotten eggs, due to the presence of Hydrogen Sulfide gas, AND Uranus is colder than Neptune, even though it is closer to the sun.
We were lucky we could explore Urananus when we were. They over-engineered the spacecraft to go beyond the original mission and we were fortunate the planets aligned as that will not again for more than 100 years.
@@stevewiles7132 No, it is reachable, like Pluto, with a heavy-lift rocket. But anything more than a flyby will take decades to reach, as getting in orbit is a challenge.
ANTON. WHY NO ANUS JOKE?! COME ON MAN! I EXPECT QUALITY FROM THESE VIDEOS! you cant just make a Uranus video and NOT make a butt joke. STANDARDS ANTON! STANDARDS!
One of the most unique planets in the solar system. I feel like landing on Oberon or Titania would be a great way to study both the surface of far away moons, and study the ice-giant planets that we've barely had any encounters with.
I don’t know why astrophysicists get so uptight about Uranus jokes. It’s the gift that has repeatedly kept on giving for generations now, putting smiles on faces and filling rooms on earth with laughter every day. Astronomers should know a million jokes about Uranus and I don’t think you’re a real astronomer unless you come up with at least one Uranus joke or write a funny essay about Uranus.
Well, if astrophysicists get so uptight about Uranus jokes, then why did they call that planet such a name in the first place, huh? They could have named it like Bongo or whatever, but instead chose my anus, I mean Uranus and are butthurt now? :>
I’ve always wondered why we didn’t go more in depth in exploration of Uranus.
🙄😆

Yeah, you don't want active moons there.
Your intro killed me man. That is exactly how I feel about most Uranus jokes.
annoying how Uranus is always the butt of the joke
I've always found it hilarious that educated and intelligent people making and consuming content about complex science still can't resist bum jokes.
Though many of us are much older, part of everyone is still age 7.
ladies ! if a guy is willing to give you the moon and the stars the least you can do is give him Uranus.
@@stevejohnson3357 Every once in awhile someone makes a Uranus joke that is clever, but most are predictable, and low hanging fruit.
Love when Anton goes deep in Uranus!
We need an orbiter for Uranus and Neptune. Same as we did for Saturn and Jupiter. We learned 1000x more than our previous flybys.
