that guitarist during DG was nick reinhart! he's the guitarist & vocalist from tera melos & is a good friend of zach's & a frequent collaborator
he did the guitar stuff on jenny death, & yes he has a ridiculously huge pedalboard

i was at my first music festival in 2023 and it was unforgettable. feels like we're kind of collectively rediscovering that joy and it's nice to share in that experience. your videos are always really soothing to me and i hope you'll keep making them (:

    Hey man
Wanted to say the guitarist from the death grips show is Nick Reinhart
He's pretty much known for being the guitarist of the math rock band Tera Melos

You're one of my favorite RUclipsrs. I absolutely love your videos.
I also saw Shame this year and funny enough Disq opened for them. Great show!

What an incredible list! My concert highlights of the year was seeing The Flaming Lips, going to the Eras Tour (doesn’t matter how much of a fan you are it was spectacular), seeing Domi and JD Beck as openers (and I got to meet them!!!) and LCD Soundsystem on Dec 31.
(Also seeing Stop Making Sense this year was mind blowing, and as I was still 14 when I saw it, I was definitely the youngest in the theater)

So sorry you didn't get to see Jeff! I caught his surprise show in Williamsburg back in May, technically the first punk show I've ever been too. It was a small venue, maybe 200 people total. Absolute highlight of my year, really lived up to everything I ever could've wanted. People wanted them to play Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus and John accidentally did the riff to Beverly Hills by Weezer instead. Then in the encore, Jeff's mic broke and they did Green Day to make up for it. There's a low-res video of me losing my voice screaming my brains out to Ohio Tpke. I hope the make-up show in March scratches the same itch for you!
